I’m A Celebrity 2019: Stars set to face ‘HORRENDOUS’ 300ft high-rise plank before entering the camp as bosses warn ‘only the bravest will survive’

It is the wildly popular reality show which sees celebrities take on stomach churning bushtucker trials in the Australian jungle.

And the stars of I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here 2019 will be chucked straight in at the deep end with a ‘horrendous’ 300ft high-rise plank being the hardest ‘walk-in’ in the show’s history.

The celebrities will each take turns to walk the plank – a suspended platform more than 300ft in the air – in Surfer’s Paradise on the Gold Coast, which is near the camp.

Although seen in previous years, this series’ walk-in has been reworked by bosses to make it even more terrifying and wobbly.

Speaking to The Sun on an exclusive tour of the jungle set, executive producer Olly Nash said: ‘They’re going to have to be braver than ever. And only the bravest will survive after walk-in.

‘We will be battling it out to have an easier or a rougher ride for the first few days in camp. The rougher ride will be rougher than before.’

‘The walk-in itself will see us return to the plank. It’s the biggest and most horrendous, wobbliest thing. We tested it earlier in August and we made it deliberately more wobbly’.

Olly also revealed the stars will face off against another celebrity, so the more their partner wobbles, the more they themselves will teeter.

One stomach churning point of the walk will also see the stars having to stand on one foot to press a switch, 343 ft in the air.

Following much anticipation, the full cast of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2019 was unveiled, with such stars as Caitlyn Jenner, Ian Wright and Jacqueline Jossa teaming up for their first official portraits.

The stars, who were spotted arriving in Australia over the past few days ahead of making their way to the Jungle, are among several household names in a cast host Declan Donnelly told MailOnline was ‘one of the best ever’.

Also competing for the title of King or Queen of the Jungle will be Nadine Coyle, 34; Roman Kemp, 26; Andrew Maxwell, 44; Myles Stephenson, 28; Adele Roberts, 40; Kate Garraway, 52, and James Haskell, 34.

Of course, as the enduring ITV favourite – now entering its 19th series – is known for putting its contestants through a laundry list of gruelling Bushtucker Trials, the new stars have also shared their fears and phobias.

Unsurprisingly, spiders, snakes and creepy-crawlies sit atop that list, while others have admitted that the toughest struggle they anticipate enduring is being separated from their loved ones for potentially a full month.

Before the inevitable tantrums, tears and unspeakable culinary offerings (who could forget the crocodile testicles, live witchety grubs or fish eyes?), the new recruits have also opened up about what they anticipate on the show.
