I’m A Celebrity 2019: Fans hit out at 'easy' Bushtucker trial as Ian Wright 'eats' spider

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! was back tonight, as Ant and Dec were on hand to catch up viewers with the latest goings on in the jungle. As all 12 camp mates took part in the Bushtucker Trial this evening, some fans questioned the tasks taken on in this series so far and slammed them for being “too easy”.

The show is well known for its Bushtucker Trials that are made to test the celebrities’ greatest fears.

Tonight, all 12 celebrities had to take part in a joint trial, as they had to hold live animals in their mouths, to try and release the inmates of the jungle jail.

As the celebrities were all successful this evening, some viewers were less impressed with their efforts.

Fans were quick to hit out after tonight’s trial, as they believed that the tasks were “too easy” and “boring”.

It comes after show producers banned live animal eating trials, after complaints from viewers to Ofcom.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, a TV insider said: “Producers have taken a look at the trials and decided that no live critters would be eaten in the trials this year.

“They have been planning this for some time and actually last year beach worms were the only critters eaten live but this time around they’ve decided to implement the change fully and permanently.”

In tonight’s trial, the celebrities didn’t have to eat any live critter’s but they were live in the star’s mouths.
