Dozens of viewers complained over the “impossible” end to Sunday’s Love Island-themed live trial.
Ofcom received 48 complaints over the “unfair” final task in which James Haskell and Roman Kemp failed to get any stars.
And it left poor Ian Wright – who had successfully completed three disgusting challenges that day – without a roast dinner.
James and Roman were given only 90 seconds to unscrew three stars from boxes full of critters, move them over to another box and screw them back down.
One fan said: “It was definitely a fix to get #ianwright to do all of those challenges and not get a roast dinner.
“It was just to get a reaction out of him.”
More than 500 viewers were so incensed they signed a petition calling on producers to give Ian a roast dinner.
But Ant and Dec defended the tricky trial. They tweeted: “The stand-ins did it when we tested it.”
Wrighty – who admitted to camp that now he is 56 he would prefer food to sex – did not go completely hungry.
Caitlyn pocketed a bit of corn on the cob and chicken from her roast and gave it to Ian, who ate it gratefully, above.
