I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! viewers were left “overjoyed” after Adele Roberts was the first campmate to be evicted from this years show.
However, host Ant McPartlin revealed there was a problem with voting on the app and only votes that came in over text would be counted.
All votes on the app were declared void after a “wording error’ meaning only phone votes counted.
The app mistakenly asked viewers who they wanted to “vote off” while Ant and Dec asked people on telly who they wanted to “save” – the correct format for the votes.
Producers made the change after dozens of viewers spotted the mistake on the app.
The campmates looked horrified as they hugged Adele goodbye before she joined Ant and Declan Donnelly for her interview.
However, Viewers flocked to Twitter to share their “happy” reaction on the first eviction but were also very unhappy with the app being down, One wrote: “Adele gone that’s ok. We can live with that.”
A second tweeted: “So my app vote doesn’t count? So the five people who actually phoned in 2019 get to choose… sounds fair…”
