I’m a Celeb 2019: Kate Garraway terrified of revealing ‘ordinary body’ in jungle shower

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 52, insists she’s “not got a celebrity body”. Kate is one of 10 celebrities competing in the ITV challenge in Australia, and arrived for filming this week looking glamorous in a red jumpsuit. Asked about the waterfall shower used by jungle campmates, she said: “I am very nervous about that because I’ve got an ordinary body. That’s the problem, I’ve not got a celebrity body. So I’m taking in a skimpy bikini and I’m going to see if the experience of being in the jungle is enough to make me let go of that fear, and by the end of it I actually put that bikini on.”

Mum-of-two Kate said she had slapped on the fake tan to try and up the glamour stakes. She added: “I have got so much fake tan and I’m going to apply more. But I’m going to be the only contestant that’s going to get whiter as the time goes on.

“I’m not very good in the sun and they make you wear sun block, obviously, to protect you because the sun is fierce here.

“So, as it washes off, I’m going to get gradually whiter.

“When I emerge, I’m going to be white and blotchy and ridiculous. So yes, it’s going to be a very rapid and rather grim descent into feral.”

She added: “I’ve got a lot of cellulite and my thinking was brown cellulite is better than white cellulite.”

I’m A Celebrity… starts on ITV on Sunday at 9pm.
