Iggy Azalea jokes about her age and admits people think she looks older than she actually is 

Iggy Azalea may be just 28 years of age, but according to the outspoken Aussie rapper, many people mistake her for 40.

The Fancy star took to Twitter on Tuesday to poke fun at the rumours surrounding her age.  

‘Girl don’t worry, I’m 28 pushing 40 online Lol,’ she wrote.

What’s her age again: In reality, she may be just 28, but according to who you ask, Iggy Azalea is actually 40

Her comment was in response to a post by fellow rapper Kashdoll Sr., who said people have a tendency to scale up her age.

Kashdoll Sr. wrote: ‘Everyday i see y’all going about how old i look i get it but I’m not a day over 30 years old… I’m actually 21 Lol’. 

The Australian rapper is renowned for her no holds barred approach to topics that are often off-limits.

In a 2015 interview with Seventeen magazine, Iggy spoke candidly about having had plastic surgery.  

‘I’m not denying it. Denying it is lame,’ she told the publication.  ‘I don’t think you should be ashamed if you made a change to yourself.’ 

She again spoke about going under the knife in a 2016 interview with ELLE Canada.

‘I think, in 2016, people should be more accepting of the fact that both famous and non-famous women are having cosmetic procedures. That’s just the reality,’ she said at the time. 

‘And I think more people need to admit that s*** so it doesn’t have to be so taboo – because we’re all doing it anyway.’
