Social media star IDubbbz will make his long-awaited YouTube boxing debut against Doctor Mike Varshavski at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida tonight.
The influencer duo will swap their video cameras for boxing gloves as they look to prove that they can hang with the top stars in this new YouTube boxing phenomenon. IDubbbz, whose real name is Ian Washburn, has been floating the idea of making his boxing debut since a 2016 feud with fellow content creator Jinx.
But he has been unable to find an appropriate opponent or venue until Doctor Mike answered the call. The New York-based doctor has been training in the sport for ten years, but has decided to step into the ring for his first bout this weekend.
Also on the card is Harley Morenstein of Epic Meal Time, who faces Arin Hanson, also known as Game Grumps’ ‘Egoraptor’. The pair will square off in a heavyweight co-main event with a monstrous 62lb weight difference.
