Idris Elba reveals Meghan Markle and Prince Harry secret wedding details: ‘It went off!'

Idris Elba was a guest at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Windsor’s Castle last year with his now wife, Sabrina Dhowre.

At the wedding reception, Idris played a huge role in getting everyone up and dancing, with a selection of songs chosen by Meghan Markle herself.

The Luther actor revealed the list of tracks included Whitney Houston and rap music.

Before speaking about their wedding antics, he coyly told DJ Ace on Radio Xtra 1: “Respectfully I haven’t really been going on an about. Just ask them.”

“Meghan sent me a playlist with some bare [lots of] tunes on it,” he went on to reveal .

It’s been long reported Meghan and Prince Harry’s first dance was to Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody.

Idris has now revealed he played the song, to the delight of the hundreds of guests at Frogmore House.

After announcing he played the huge track, DJ Ace asked if it went down well.

Idris spilled: “Did that go off? Mate a lot of tunes went off!”

The star was keen not to reveal too much about the evening, but added there was some “west coast” on the playlist.

DJ Ace quizzed the star on whether that means Tupac, Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre were played at the bash.

However, Idris remained tight-lipped as he laughed: “I’m not gonna put their business out like that, that’s not fair.”

Referencing his line in song Boasty, he added: “Ask Meghan and Harry.”

Idris also divulged on his own wedding to Sabrina Dhowre, 29, where they tied the knot in Morocco, in a three-day extravaganza.

Speaking about the nuptials, he said: “It was one of the mot beautiful three days of our lives. We spent a while trying to prep this wedding and wanted to have our entire family connection.

“We both have a big family and network of friends. We brought everyone together, flew to Morocco and had an amazing time.”

Meghan and Harry were unable to attend their wedding, as Meghan was heavily pregnant with baby Archie at the time.

But the Luther actor and model didn’t go without as it was reported at the time the royal couple sent a very nice gift to the newlyweds.

Meghan and Harry were claimed to have sent a piece of art by the Connor Brothers, worth £7,000, according to the Mail on Sunday.
