Iceland is selling a mega box of 100 Jaffa Cakes for £2

CHOCOHOLICS had better head down to Iceland quick because the supermarket is selling huge boxes of 100 Jaffa Cakes for just £2.

It means that each sweet snack costs just 2p – far cheaper than if you’d bought a normal sized pack.

Typically, a box of ten costs £1 making each cake – or biscuit – 10p each, so you’ll be saving 8p per snack in the deal.

The same size boxes of confectionery had been spotted on shelves in Home Bargains, Tesco and Asda earlier this year but they cost between £3 and £4.

We can’t find the boxes of 100 being sold anywhere else on the high street right now.

Amazon has got them but here they’ll set you back £10.99 each with free delivery.

The next best Jaffa Cake deal we could find was also at Iceland on a pack of 18 snacks that cost £1, making each cake cost around 6p.

Iceland’s 100 box deal is even better than a pack of 12 Asda own brand Jaffa Cakes that cost 27p, because each cake costs 2.25p – more than the mega bargain.

The offer was spotted by a beady-eyed shopper in their local branch – although they weren’t specific about which one – who then shared the deal on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

Normally, the boxes cost £4 each but this particular box had its price slashed in half.

That’s because it had reached its best before date so the supermarket was keen to shift it.

But as it’s part of a clearance sale, it also means that you’re not guaranteed to find the deal in every store as it depends on how much leftover stock your local still has.

We’ve asked Iceland to confirm availability and we’ll update this story as soon as we get a response. But if you buy online you will have to pay full price.

Your best bet is to call the store before heading out to avoid disappointment. You can find your nearest branch here.

Asda has mixed things up and started selling PINEAPPLE flavoured McVities Jaffa Cake bars and they sound delicious.

It’s not the only shakeup to Jaffa Cakes in recent months as we’ve seen lemon and lime and strawberry flavoured Jaffa Cakes launch.

McVitie’s now does Jaffa Cakes nibbles and we can’t wait to try them
