Ice-T has thrown support behind his wife Coco Austin after she shared pictures of herself breastfeeding their three-year-old daughter.
The proud mum recently fell under fire after she took to Instagram with the somewhat controversial snaps of herself nursing the bambino, Chanel.
But it seems her hubby has no problem with his sprog’s diet, as he has since questioned what the ‘big deal’ is.
When approached by TMZ on the matter, he said: ‘They make it out like the baby only eats… breastfeeds.
‘Every once in a while, you know what I’m saying, if she wants to get close to her mum, what’s the big deal?’
Insisting that the child has a normal diet of a toddler, he laughed: ‘She eats food, she eats f***ing cheeseburgers.’
We’re glad that’s been cleared up.
His comment comes after Coco called breastfeeding a ‘mother’s calling’ on Instagram.
Alongside a string of photos of herself in a private jet with with Chanel latched onto her breast, the 40-year-old wrote: ‘A mothers calling….
‘I’m so blessed to have this unbelievable experience in this thing called Nursing…
‘I had a hard time breastfeeding the 1st week of when Chanel was born, I almost gave up but my family told me to hang for another week.’
She continued to share: ‘They told me I don’t want to miss this special moment you have with your child.. health wise and bond wise…
‘I hung in there and now almost four years later Chanel still wants the boob…’
Explaining their situation, the actress added: ‘It’s more of a comfort thing now and of course she eats regular but nap time and night time are our time and I’m lucky she hasn’t grown out it yet because when that moment comes I will be so sad..
‘It’s the best feeling and ALL mothers that nurse know…’
Coco then finished her post with the hashtag ‘#normalisebreastfeeding’, which seemed to strike up a debate in the comments section.
While a number of fellow mums supported the star’s decision, others questioned whether or not Chanel was ‘too old’ to still be breastfeeding.
