Ibiza Weekender’s Callum Izzard was reportedly subjected to racial abuse from a group of thugs, one year on from being mugged at knifepoint.
The 24-year-old, who has also appeared on Celebs Go Dating, was called racial slurs, including the n-word and a ‘black b*****d’ by racists on the street.
In a video message for The Sun, the reality star said: ‘As hurtful as it might be, as angry as you might get, as much as you might want to fight people and get upset, all you have to do is to laugh at them.
‘Because if you’re that stupid and uneducated to just behave like that in any way, shape or form then you’re an idiot, they’re muppets, they’re uneducated, they’re losers and they’re scum.
‘Laugh it off and get on with your day.’
A source went on to tell the publication that he did the right thing by leaving the scene and that ‘he just can’t believe that in this day and age such people exist.’
The awful abuse comes a year after the star was mugged at knifepoint during a night out in Ibiza.
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘They’ve taken his passport. He’s stranded in Ibiza and is dealing with the embassy. He’s pretty shaken but holding up well.’
A rep for Callum added: ‘We are aware of an incident in Ibiza and currently assisting our client however cannot comment any further.’
Callum appeared on the seventh season of ITV2’s Ibiza Weekend in 2018 as a rep, before appearing as a hopeful singleton on Celebs Go Dating.
Before trying his chances on the show, he revealed he was looking for ‘the one’.
He explained: ‘I’ve had a couple of relationships in the past but none of them have stuck so I hope Nadia and Paul can pull it out of the bag and find me the one, someone I can bring home to my mum and Nan!
