Iain Lee says a relationship is the furthest thing from his mind after coming out as bisexual.

The radio presenter came to a realisation about his sexuality during therapy, which he underwent after getting in a car accident last year.

Despite the odd comment from trolls, Iain shared that he has received nothing but love and support from most people.

However some others sent X-rated messages on social media which made him ‘uncomfortable’.

He told Metro.co.uk: ‘I had like the tiniest glimpse of what it might be like to be a woman online. What I mean by that is, I started getting people sliding into my DMs.

‘On Instagram I started getting young men sending me topless muscle shots. I got a couple of c**k pics and I got a few “I’d love to meet you for a drink”, but they weren’t even my type. My type is kind of – these were all younger men.

‘It was weird. I hope that doesn’t sound in any way patronising to what women have had. It was a tiny glimpse.

‘It wasn’t flattering, it made me uncomfortable, and I didn’t like it.’

Iain added: ‘I’m not in a relationship with a bloke, that’s not where my head is at at the moment. Who knows, but at the moment that’s not where I see things going.’

The presenter is focusing on his bringing his former talkRADIO show The Late Night Alternative to Twitch along with co-host Katherine Boyle.

Last month the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star was axed from the station after four years.

Although he still feels ‘a sense of betrayal’, he is looking forward to hosting on a new platform with Katherine at his side.

The pair have sometimes been a lifeline to suicidal callers who have rung in to the show at their lowest point.

Asked what they think makes people turn to them in those dark moments, Katherine shared: ‘I think there’s power in making people laugh and keeping people company.

‘We get spoken to by people maybe two or three years later, they might see us at an event or send us an email, and they’ll say “I was going through a hard time and you made me laugh and you saw me through it. I could look forward to those three hours and it was like a little oasis, bobbing along when I was I was feeling terrible.”

‘They see our friendship and they know not everyone’s an a**ehole.’

Looking ahead to where the phone-show can go now they have more creative control, she added: ‘During lockdown we’ve been restricted with movement, but our hope at some point is to move the show around, we can take it somewhere else and do it from people’s houses, we can do it from backyards and parks or whatever.

‘It will have a life of its own and I can’t wait to see where it goes.’

The Late Night Alternative arrives on Twitch on 20 July at 9pm.
