ASDA’S essential range has proved popular with households across the UK – but one TikTokker wasn’t so keen on all the groceries.

It all means people’s money isn’t going as far, and many are looking for ways to cut back on their spending.
Asda’s Essentials range, which was unveiled at the end of May and features products as cheap as 32p, has proved popular.
Plenty of shoppers have taken to social media to share how much they’re saving with the range.
It’s also been accused of embarrassing poorer customers due to its neon yellow colour.
But Tik Tok user @Beccaeatseverything, who has over 50,000 followers on the platform, shared a video rating some of the products in the range – and she wasn’t keen on all of them.
In the video, she taste tests six different groceries, including mild curry sauce, sweet and sour sauce, Irish stew, salmon paste, ham and beef paste and chicken paste and gives them a rating out of 10.
The goods range from 28p to 75p so they’re cheap, but not all of them were to Becca’s taste.
It is the second video she has released on the budget range.
Becca says in the video: “Mild curry sauce – very bitter, just tasted of cumin and burnt curry powder. 0/10.
“Sweet and sour sauce – so vinegary and syrupy sweet. No good flavours here. 0/10.
“Irish stew – not very much meat but expected, vegetables were nice and gravy base had good flavours. 6.5/10.
“Salmon paste – tasted more like tuna but could easily have this in sandwich and enjoy it! 7/10.
“Ham and beef paste – all I could taste were gammon flavours, very salty but ok overall. 4/10.
“Chicken paste – a very wet paste and tasted more like a fatty chicken leg that nice chicken flavours. 2/10.”
But there’s also been a lot of positive reviews about the range.
One social media user took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook Group after picking up a haul.
They said: “So impressed with the quality of the food, I will definitely be going back.”
Another on the same group said: “How good is this for people that are currently struggling at the moment.”
