I let my baby boy play with dolls and hairbrushes… trolls say it’s wrong but they’re just ignorant

A MUM shared that she thought it was wonderful when her son played with dolls and hairbrushes, even though not everyone agreed.

In a recent clip Jess showed her one-year-old lad playing with a doll and whirling a hair brush around in the air.

She uploaded the post with the message: “Toys aren’t gendered.”

Plenty of people loved the video and were quick to comment with messages of support.

One said: “I mean playing with baby dolls shouldn’t be considered girls toys… both boys and girls will have their own babies in the future to take care of.”

While another said: “I used to play with Barbies and dress them up.”

A third said: “When I was younger I used to play with dolls and brush their hair cause it felt cool and now at 18 I’m doing the same with my girlfriend!”

But there were other comments which Jess was not impressed by. The mum made a follow up video addressing one which said: “What you have there is a gay kid”.

She said: “Whether he is or not is irrelevant, not that playing with dolls automatically makes him gay. We love him and always will.”

While another person agreed: “Why does it matter? As long as he’s his version of successful in his life he can love whoever he wants.”
