‘I got a text!’ Love Island 2019 host Caroline Flack interrupted by Alison Hammond’s phone

Caroline Flack’s behind-the-scenes Love Island chat was interrupted by Alison Hammond’s phone on live TV.

Flack welcomed the This Morning crew into the Spanish villa ahead of Monday night’s launch which will see 12 singletons move in in a bid to find the love of their life.

Flack was discussing how the hot tub has been moved to the secret hideaway to get couples to use it more, when Hammond shouted: “Sorry my phone is ringing – that’s really unprofessional.”

Referencing the show’s famous catchphrase when islanders receive messages from producers, she added: “I got a text! I got a text everyone!”

She then attempted to style out her interruption by joking that the text message was asking her to get Flack to teach her how to do her famous “slo-mo” walk into the villa.

“They don’t look happy when I walk in,” Flack said. “I have to take it quite seriously. I get one chance to deliver the news – which is usually bad news that someone is leaving. I can’t even look them in the eye. I never communicate.”

Flack showed Hammond around the main garden area as well as the fire pit where islanders line-up ahead of a re-coupling, and dumping.

She also revealed there is a “secret compartment” in the hideaway which contains “sexy treats” for loved-up couples to find.

Tyson Fury’s brother Tommy and AJ Pritchard’s brother Curtis will be among the first group to enter the villa on Monday night which also includes a scientist, an aircraft engineer and a gym owner.

This series will kick off with a twist which will see two of the 12-strong line-up held back until after 10 have walked in – and presumably coupled up.

Love Island is on ITV2, Monday at 9pm
