This young adult series comes from the crew behind Netflix shows like Stranger Things and The End of the F****** World. The show follows an awkward teenager called Sydney (played by Sophia Lillis) who keeps a diary. She documents her darkest secrets and her feelings about navigating high school.

What happens in I Am Not Okay With This?
The series is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Charles Forsman.
In the graphic novel the ending is much darker than we expect as it sees Sydney taking her own life.
She has superpowers and can make things explode with her mind when she is feeling angry or distressed.
Her powers are uncontrollable and she ends up killing her best friend’s ex-boyfriend, Brad (Richard Ellis).

What will happen in I Am Not Okay With This series 2?
In the literature Sydney keeps her powers to herself and the burden gets too much for her to handle.
In the final moments she realises she cannot deal with the pain any more and uses her powers to end her own life.
The Netflix series avoids this ending, but it leaves fans wondering whether there is any more material left to work with for a second series.
At the end of the series a mysterious man who has been stalking Sydney materialises in front of her eyes.
Who will be in the cast of I Am Not Okay With This series 2?
There is also the question of what happened back at the homecoming dance, where Sydney made Brad’s head explode.
This was the first time her best friend Dina (Sofia Bryant) saw Sydney’s powers as she had been keeping them a secret from her.
Dina is seen with her hands over her face as she realises her ex-boyfriend is now dead, but we do not see what happens after this.
Sydney flees the dance before anyone has a chance to address what has happened, which could pave the way for a second series.
When will I Am Not Okay With This series 2 be released?
Sadly the creators of the series have not confirmed whether a second season will be made.
But due to the major cliffhanger at the end it seems there is scope for more filming in the near future.
If a second series is made it is likely to be released sometime next year, seeing as the first series has only just aired.
There are no promo videos for a new series but teasers are likely to come out at the start of next year at the earliest.
