Hungry man calls police because he wasn’t given enough chips

Let’s face it, there’s nothing worse than feeling you’ve overpaid for food.

But even if you’re left feeling unsatisfied with the amount you’ve received, you should never involve the police.

This ravenous man, however, decided they were the perfect people to get involved after he complained his takeaway portion of chips was too small.

After snarfing down the chips on Friday night, the hungry punter reckoned it wasn’t enough and returned to the takeaway to complain.

But when staff told him they couldn’t help, he went outside and flagged down a police officer to sort the issue out.

Needless to say, there was nothing they could do.

York City Police posted about the strange request on social media and said: ‘Not sure what crime he thought had been committed but it was all a little fishy.’

This isn’t the first time police in the UK have had to deal with some strange requests.

In February, police in Northern Ireland received a call from a woman who claimed she had been ‘scammed’ buying cocaine – after the dealers gave her brown sugar instead.
