Netflix has announced six new additions to the voice cast of the streamer’s newest adult-animated series Human Resources, which serves as a spin-off to the hit coming-of-age comedy Big Mouth. This includes Rosie Perez (Birds of Prey) as Petra the Ambition Gremlin, Henry Wrinkler (Barry) as Keith From Grief, Thandiwe Newton (Westworld) as Mona the Hormone Monstress, Jemaine Clement (What We Do in the Shadows) as Simon Sex, Maria Bamford (BoJack Horseman) as Tito the Anxiety Mosquito, and Bobby Cannavale (Sing 2) as the Hormone Monster.
The cast announcement also came with the release of the first Human Resources teaser, providing us with our first look at the new and returning characters. It is scheduled to make its debut on Friday, March 18.
They will be joining previously confirmed cast members Nick Kroll as Maury, Maya Rudolph as Connie, Aidy Bryant as Emmy the Lovebug, Randall Park as Pete the Logic Rock, Keke Palmer as Rochelle the Lovebug, David Thewlis as the Shame Wizard, and Pamela Adlon as Sonya the Lovebug, who all got their first introductions in the main series.
“From the inventive minds that brought us the award-winning adult animation favorite Big Mouth comes the even edgier and adult-ier Human Resources,” reads the synopsis. “The spin-off pulls back the curtain on the daily lives of the creatures – Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards and many more – that help humans journey through every aspect of life from puberty to parenthood to the twilight years. It quickly becomes clear that though the protagonists are creatures, they have a lot of humanity themselves.”
The workplace comedy is co-created and executive produced by Kelly Galuska, Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Jennifer Flackett, and Mark Levin.
