HUDDERSFIELD will step up their pursuit of Leyton Orient kid Josh Koroma.
The 20-year-old striker made his O’s senior debut three years ago and his impressive performances have put a host of clubs on alert.
Koroma played a huge role in Orient’s promotion back to the EFL scoring 11 goals in 39 games for the East Londoners.
Sunderland and Middlesbrough have been tracking the striker regarded last term as one of the hottest properties outside the EFL.
Koroma graduated through the Matchroom Stadium academy has just another year to run on his current deal.
The Terriers had an initial bid of £300,000 rejected by the newly-promoted League Two side.
And now the Yorkshire side look to be in the box seat for Koroma submitting a £500,000 bid, matching the O’s valuation.
Huddersfield boss Jan Siewert is keen to add another striker and has earmarked Koroma as one for the future.
Siewert wants the talented youngster to challenge Elias Kachunga, Steve Mounie and Collin Quaner for a starting spot in his first team this August.
Orient will be desperate to keep their squad together when they start life in League Two come August.
