HRVY has unveiled his new single, Me Because Of You, and he revealed that the track was actually inspired by a comment a fan left on his Instagram account.
He explained: ‘This song is super important to me, it came from a fan’s comment on Instagram which is mad to say that it’s now become its own song.
‘I remember sitting on a plane on the way back from Asia and thinking of a way to represent this new music and new me.
‘I drew a really terrible sketch on my phone of the world that me and my music lives in.’
The new song came off the back of a busy year for HRVY – real name Harvey Leigh Cantwell – as the 21-year-old singer travelled to over 23 countries with his music.
He added: ‘I’ve never felt more connected to music that I’ve created and the last couple of years have been a huge learning curve and have helped me write much more emotive songs as I’ve actually been able to experience real life events.’
HRVY – who recently got mobbed by so many fans at a meet and greet performance in Bluewater shopping centre that it had to be shut down as security couldn’t control the hundreds of fans trying to get close to him – is not slowing down any time soon.
He will be heading out on his world tour from March, including performing a sold-out show at the London Palladium.

- 7th April – Dublin, Ireland
- 9th April – Glasgow, Scotland
- 10th April – Manchester, UK
- 11th April – Birmingham, UK
