Lorraine Kelly really isn’t having a good time of it at the moment.
After the drama surrounding her tax battle and confessing she never takes her bra off, the self-confessed ‘theatrical artist’ has been exposed for more fakery – by Howard Donald.
Honestly, what is happening?
In this morning’s instalment of her TV show, the 59-year-old was joined by the Take That singer as he discussed his upcoming tour.
However, things became a little awkward as the Back For Good singer got a little hungry during the segment – pointing out the snacks in the fruit bowl weren’t actually real.
Picking up an orange, the 50-year-old told viewers: ‘I’m good, all good. I’m not so sure about these. I was going to eat an orange but it’s a false one.
After Lorraine confessed they were ‘pretend oranges’, Howard was having absolutely none of it, telling the host it wasn’t ‘good enough’.
Can someone please get Howard Donald a real orange?!
Fruit-gate comes after the ITV presenter won her battle against a £1.2million bill from HMRC, stating she doesn’t appear as herself on her series, but actually portrays a persona known as ‘Lorraine Kelly’.
And Judge Jennifer Dean agreed with her argument, ruling she plays a role on the show and not herself.
‘We should make clear we do not doubt that Ms Kelly is an entertaining lady, but the point is that for the time Ms Kelly is contracted to perform live on air she is public “Lorraine Kelly”,’ she explained.
‘She may not like the guest she interviews, she may not like the food she eats, she may not like the film she viewed but that is where the performance lies.’
While loyal viewers were left a little baffled about the whole thing, they were up in arms after Lorraine – or ‘Lorraine’ – revealed she keeps her bra on at all times.
At. All. Times.
In a chat with Coleen Nolan, she confessed: ‘I’m aghast, as I keep my bra on all the time, I even sleep in it.
‘I didn’t realise that was weird, I said that this morning and everyone was like “WHAT?”
‘I don’t feel right when I take it off, it feels weird. Maybe I’m odd, I’m feeling quite odd now.’
Us too, hun.
Lorraine continues on weekday mornings, at 8:30am, on ITV.
