How to watch Ubisoft Forward

Like most major game publishers, this year Ubisoft has replaced its usual E3 presence with an online event, Ubisoft Forward, to reveal fresh details about its upcoming games.

Already confirmed to include new details on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion, Ubisoft Forward could also include a few surprise announcements, info on the likes of Gods & Monsters or Rainbow Six Quarantine, and how Ubisoft is planning to handle the transition to next-gen consoles.

Here’s what you need to know.

When is Ubisoft Forward?

Ubisoft Forward takes place on Sunday 12 July at 12pm PDT / 3pm EDT / 8pm BST / 9pm CEST.

How to watch Ubisoft Forward live

Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed where it will stream the show, but it’s a pretty safe bet that it will appear on the official Ubisoft YouTube channel, and probably on the Ubisoft Twitch channel too.

What will Ubisoft announce?

When it announced Ubisoft Forward, the company promised “an E3-style showcase with plenty of exclusive game news, exciting reveals, and much more.”

That doesn’t give much away, but a more recent teaser for the event has a very clear focus on three games: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion and the newly revealed shooter Hyper Scape.

At the very least we can expect new gameplay footage and details from these games, and potentially firmer release windows for some of them.

Ubisoft has plenty of games in the pipeline however. Rainbow Six Quarantine, Gods & Monsters, Skull & Bones, Roller Champions, and Beyond Good & Evil 2 are all on the way from the giant publisher, and we’d be surprised if a few of them didn’t get at least a mention on Sunday.

That still leaves the ‘exciting reveals’ though. What could we hope for? Well it’s been a while since the last Far Cry game, and recent speculation pinned acclaimed actor Giancarlo Esposito down for the villainous role, so our money’s on a Far Cry 6 announcement featuring him.
