How to watch the Fortnite World Cup

If you weren’t able to get tickets to go see the finals take place in New York, there will still be plenty of ways for you to catch all of the action.

Epic Games will be streaming all of the matches on their various social channels including YouTube, Twitch and Facebook.

The games will also be available to watch on the official Fortnite website.

A picture-in-picture feature has also been introduced to Fortnite ahead of the World Cup finals.

This means that players can select the ‘Watch Now’ button on their screen while waiting in a Fortnite lobby, which will then open up a small video in the corner of your screen so that you can watch the action unfold while you’re playing your own Fortnite games.

What is the Fortnite World Cup prize money?

There is a total prize pool of $30m (£24m) up for grabs at the tournament.

In the Solos competition, the winner will earn $3m (£2.4m), while second place will get $1.8m (£1.4m) and third will get $1.2m(£960,000).

When does Fortnite season ten start?

Fortnite seasons typically run for around 10 weeks, which would have meant that season ten would already be underway.

The date of the Fortnite World Cup means that the newest season has been slightly delayed so that there wouldn’t be any big changes to the map or gameplay just before the competition.

It seems like season nine will be extended for a few weeks, and players can expect to see season ten to launch at the start of August.
