How to watch Google Stadia Connect live stream

E3 2019 is due to kick off next week, bringing with it a flurry of game reveals, announcements and new, flashy gameplay trailers. Kicking off proceedings this year is a new entrant: Google. Following the reveal of Google Stadia at GDC 2019, the company is set to take the stage later today to reveal key information about the cloud-based gaming service, including pricing, game availability and all-important release information.

If you’re interested in watching Google’s vision of the future of gaming unfold live, here’s all you need to know.

When does the Google Stadia Connect live stream begin?

Like many of the major E3 2019 keynotes, Google Stadia Connect is set to take place before the conference actually begins – but even by E3 standards, Google’s Stadia Connect event is early.

In fact, Google’s cloud gaming-focused keynote is due to take place today, 6 June 2019, at 9am PT/12pm ET for those tuning in from the US. That’s 5pm BST for those of us watching in the UK, and in a world where E3 conferences take place at midnight in Blighty, we’re certainly thankful for the favourable time!

How to watch Google Stadia Connect

This one is fairly simple; with Stadia’s close tie-in with YouTube, it should come as no surprise that you’ll be able to watch Google Stadia Connect via the Google Stadia YouTube channel.

We’ve made it even easier for you by embedding the video below, so head back later today, sit back and enjoy what Google has to present.

What will Google announce during Stadia Connect?

When Google Stadia was revealed at GDC 2019, Google gave various details about the upcoming cloud-based gaming service; it would be available on almost any internet-connected device, it boasts next-gen hardware and it’ll come with an Xbox One-esque controller, but key details – like pricing and release – were omitted.

That’s set to change with today’s Google Stadia Connect keynote. The YouTube channel live stream description teases that the company will be revealing “more Stadia news, including pricing, games and launch details”, which is essentially everything else we need to know about Stadia.

Also, expect more Stadia Connect live streams in the future – the company has confirmed that regular Connect streams will provide insight into Stadia news, events, games, features and more. It sounds like Google’s version of Nintendo Direct, Inside Xbox or PlayStation State of Play.
