How Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owens didn't want husband near for birth of 8th child


Speaking to Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, Amanda revealed she asked Clive not to be present for Clammy’s birth.

She said: “Well the thing is as I say it was number eight, after having six of them by that point by the side of the road, the thought of just staying at home was kind of a really good option. 

“I was so fed up with spoiling people’s picnics and the rest of it. I thought, ‘Right well this time I’m just going to go it alone.’

“So I thought yes, I put the kettle on, stoked up the fire and had her in front of the fire with just a terrier as a birthing partner.”
