Joe Swash was crowned the winner of Dancing on Ice 2020 after a dramatic finale which saw him battle it out on the rink against Diversity star Perri Kiely and Paralympian Libby Clegg.
It was touch and go for Joe, who was rushed to hospital earlier this week with a severe ear infection.
Luckily, the former EastEnders star made a full recovery in time for Sunday evening’s show and managed to take home the trophy, together with Alex Murphy.
The actor paid tribute to Caroline Flack during his final showcase performance, performing behind a background which read ‘Be Kind.’
He explained the choice on his Instagram earlier in the day saying: ‘I asked them if they could put the words “Be Kind” on a poster. Obviously we lost Caroline, and we’re going to try and spread the word. We need everyone to be kinder.’
Watching him from the crowd were his partner Stacey Solomon and their son, baby Rex.

Joe has two sons – Rex Toby Francis, and Harry, whom Joe shares with her ex-fiance, Emma Sophocleous.
Rex was born in May 2019 to Joe’s current partner Stacey, while 12-year-old Harry was born in 2007.
Joe and Emma dated from 2005 to 2008 before they called it a day.
Emma has remained firmly out of the limelight, and neither she nor Joe have spoken publicly about their relationship.
The Dancing on Ice winner started dating his now-partner Stacey in 2016, although the pair met six years earlier in 2010 when he interviewed her after her I’m a Celebrity… win.
Stacey also has children from two previous relationships, Zachary (11), and Leighton (7).
Stacey has spoken about their blended family in the past, saying that she ‘loves’ her unconventional family.
She explained: ‘I used to really beat myself up about not being able to offer them a “normal”, “perfect” family all under one roof. Until I realised how normal, and perfect our family is for us.’
Rumours started circulating that Joe and Stacey got married in secret after Dancing on Ice viewers believe they spotted a wedding band on Joe’s fingers, but these rumours are otherwise unsubstantiated.
The couple have previously denied rumours they have tied the knot.
