It’s Christmas Day!
And across the world everyone has been waking up to tear into their presents to see if Santa has brought anything better than coal.
For Premier League footballers the day is something of an unusual one.
Of course, this morning they would have been spending time with their families and friends, but this afternoon they’ll be required to attend their respective training grounds to go through the Boxing Day plan.
Well, after all, there is a full fixture list on the 26th, and we are moving into the business end of the season.
We’ve take a look to see how some of the biggest stars have been enjoying their Christmas celebrations so far including Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford and Liverpool defender Andy Robertson.
His Gunners team-mate David Luiz meanwhile sported some fancy new clothes and posed for a snap in front of some festive decorations.
Moving up the country to Manchester and the aforementioned Rashford appears to be having a quiet day with his family – and his beloved pet dog – before training later in the day.
The striker posted a picture of himself with his dog Saint sitting on the stairs.
The picture’s caption reads: “Merry Christmas everyone from me and Saint. Hope you all have a great day and see you tomorrow.”
Someone who isn’t having quiet such a quiet Christmas is former Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra.
Posting a video of himself dancing to House of Pain track Jump Around in a full Santa costume while in a sunny destination, Evra wished the world a Merry Christmas in a typically humorous way.
After dancing and singing in the short clip posted to Instagram, the Frenchman finished by jumping into the sea.
The caption to the video reads: “It’s too late guys. Your kids will only believe in SANTAEVRA. Don’t be jealous. I just want to share all the Santa around the world.”
Returning to the UK and moving across from Manchester, Liverpool midfielder James Milner showed off his new Christmas present – a fancy festive jumper in a humorous snap posted to Instagram.
His team-mate Andy Robertson was also seemingly in a funny mood as he posted a clip of himself sticking a full two litre bottle of Irn Bru into a Christmas stocking.
Alongside the picture the Scot wrote: “The perfect gift doesn’t ex…”
