Pokemon Go has remained popular even in lockdown, with makers Niantic continuing to ensure the game can still be enjoyed indoors – and even bringing a few familiar faces back to the fray.
However, there’s bound to be even more interest in the game today, as it’s the date of the July 2020 Community Day event.
The events generally offer Pokemon players the chance to capture one specific Pokemon which will appear more than usual throughout the day – but what time does it start, and how long will it last?

What time is Pokemon Community Day and how long does it last?
Pokemon Community Day begins at 11am local time.
The event will run for six hours, going all the way through until 5pm.
Community Day events previously used to run for three hours, but this has been extended in the wake of lockdown.
Who is the featured Pokemon in July’s Community Day?
Gastly is taking centre stage in the latest Pokemon Go Community Day.
The Pokemon will be appearing more in the wild for the duration of the event, which is good news for anyone who might have been looking for a Haunter or Gengar to add to their collection.
You might also have the opportunity to capture yourself a Shiny Gastly during the day – while players can also take advantages of bonuses available, such as reduced hatch times for eggs as well as long activation times for Incense, which can attract Pokemon to your locale.
Be sure to also take some photos during the event – as bonuses will be available for these.
