How Kelly Brook lost 2st – simple tweaks that helped star drop three dress sizes

Throughout her twenties, Kelly Brook was a svelte size 10 and made millions showing off her slim figure and gorgeous curves.

But after living under the harsh glare of Los Angeles’ health and fitness scene and sticking to the protein-heavy Atkins diet, when Kelly returned to the UK five years ago, she decided she was done dieting.

Instead, the former glamour model embraced her then new-boyfriend Jeremy Parisi’s way of live, enjoying leisurely, delicious meals with the Italian model and his family.

“The first time I visited his parents I was like, ‘Oh my God’. We started with pasta. When you start a meal with pasta you know it’s going to be big,” she previously told The Sun.

“Being with him I’ve definitely gained a few pounds, if not stones. And you know what? I love it.”

She added: “I love a pint of Guinness, I love a steak pie, I love an apple crumble, I love beans on white toast, builder’s tea with milk and two sugars.”

But despite her confidence, Kelly was dealt a crushing blow when she returned to the spotlight for the Murder On The Orient Express film premiere at the Royal Albert Hall in 2017, where she said waiting photographers yelled at her to ‘breathe in’.

Branding the incident a ‘wake-up call’, Kelly also copped flack from her mum who told her to ‘stop eating’ and even her boyfriend told the 40 year old she ‘looked like a little balloon’.

Stating she was in denial, Kelly thought her clothes just kept shrinking in the wash and revealed that her 34FF boobs were so large that she was suffering agonising back pain.

Determined to take action for the sake of her health, in December 2018 she became a SlimFast ambassador and lost 21lbs from her size 16 figure.

“My family are quite real with me, I’m not living in some dream world. It was pretty apparent everyone was like ‘what are you going to do about it?'” she said.

“I cannot even believe I got that big. I think my lifestyle just slowed down. I’m getting older and I was definitely eating more than I should do. It got to a point where I thought I don’t want to approach 40 twice the size I was when I was 20.”

By 2019 she had lost two stone and was back in a size 12 thanks to cutting out gin and wine and going running three times a week.

She’s also a regular at the gym with boyfriend Jeremy and credited his motivating and SlimFast’s meal replacement shakes with aiding her transformation.

And while she’s refused to cut her beloved shepherd’s pies, roast dinners and bowls of spaghetti bolognese out completely, she now saves them for a treat, filling upon leaner meals with smaller portions and ‘lots of veg’.

Showing off her weight loss this week, she told Hello! magazine: “I definitely didn’t feel my healthiest or most beautiful, and I wanted to feel good again.

“I’m feeling confident in my body and happy with the weight I am at the minute. I like being curvy, I like having boobs and a bum.”

However, despite admitting she ‘misses’ the body she was had, Kelly has no desire to be anything other than healthy.

She continued: “I just look like a normal 40-year-old woman. I look how I should look, it’s not something unattainable.

“I’m never going to have the body I had as a 21-year-old swimwear model and neither would I want to be that girl. I just want to be the best version of myself at my age. That’s my focus.”
