How Esports Insider is serving esports during coronavirus pandemic

We’re all aware of the ongoing pandemic, with the coronavirus affecting effectively every industry and leaving many workers homebound. While we adjust to new lifestyles and working conditions, it’s advisable that everybody is doing what they can to reduce the outbreak and highlight some positivity where possible.

We’re all too aware of the effects that coronavirus is having on the esports industry in particular, and Esports Insider too has had to pivot operations to ensure the safety of staff and event attendees. Having just announced the rescheduling of ESI New York to November 30th to December 1st, we’re committed to playing our part throughout these unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances. It was a difficult decision, and not many situations could stop us from continuing to deliver what we are confident are the best business conferences in esports, but it was a necessary action.

Esports Insider is doing what it can to inform the entire industry of what’s changing in esports as a result of coronavirus, with convenience in mind and disregarding any scaremongering. As well as compiling all of the events and leagues affected by coronavirus, we’re looking into virtual conferences and additional editorial content to ensure we’re keeping you all connected and informed. Stay tuned on that front!

In an effort to ensure our staff are safe and sound, the entire Esports Insider team have been working for home for a week at the time of writing. Despite the change in such circumstances, we remain committed to delivering everything that Esports Insider has become known for: industry-leading coverage, unrivalled conferences and networking events, and valuable services such as ESI Connect and Get in the Game. The Esports Journal, the definitive esports industry magazine, provides content and access that can’t be found elsewhere – the first four editions are available online.

Our twice-weekly newsletter compiles each of the articles that are published on a website and weekly recaps will still be released every Friday. As well as visiting the website or social channels regularly, these are ways in which you can keep up with what’s happening – esports may have taken a hit, but the industry is still incredibly active. It’s important to support esports as it proves its unique ability to continue through a global pandemic, though hits are being absorbed by all.

As always, we’re incredibly grateful for the support we receive and, from all of us at Esports Insider, our thoughts are with you.

If there are any additional content initiatives or services you’d like to see from Esports Insider, then feel free to email us at info@esportsinsider.com. We will take any and all serious suggestions into consideration.

Thank you and stay safe,
Adam Fitch, Editor of Esports Insider
