McCarthy and Stone ’s managing director in Scotland has been appointed to Construction Scotland ’s Industry Leadership Group (ILG).

The industry body appointed Jonathan Fair as part of a drive to bring together key figures from the private and public sector to drive sector growth and industry wide collaboration.

 

During his 30 years in construction, Fair’s role have included Central Scotland managing director at Stewart Milne and chief executive at Homes for Scotland. He now has full responsibility for McCarthy & Stone’s operations in Scotland, including managing its build, sales and customer service activities.

Fair said: “I am delighted to have joined Construction Scotland’s Industry Leadership Group. The group is the leading voice of the construction sector and the members are passionate and committed to driving the sector forward.  My ambition is to help support the development and growth of the industry in Scotland, to be more sustainable, innovative and productive.”

 

Ken Gillespie, chair of Construction Scotland’s Industry Leadership Group said: “Welcoming Jonathan to the ILG is another positive step as we aim to work with partners and customers in the industry across the public and private sectors.
