  • This is the first entry into the esports team organization space by Mattel and its Hot Wheels brand.
  • The limited-edition Hot Wheels car and box will also hit retail stores such as Walmart and Target in early 2020.
  • Spacestation Gaming is co-owned by Tanner Fox.

Spacestation Gaming, alongside TFOX and Mattel, have come together to collaborate on producing a Limited Edition Hot Wheels, SSG, and TFOX branded premium box. Each box contains a limited edition Hot Wheels Porsche, mousepad, shirt, hat, lanyard, and patches that retail for $150 USD.

Having sponsored the likes of NASCAR, the X-Games, Danica Patrick, and others, this isn’t the first time Tanner Fox, owner of TFOX and co-owner of Spacestation Gaming, has collaborated with Hot Wheels as he has other products associated with the Mattel Company’s product. This is, however, said to be the first instance in which Hot Wheels has created a car with an esports organization.

Spacestation Gaming’s co-owner (with Shaun “Shonduras” McBride, being the other) rose to fame initially as a stunt rider on scooters, and now commands an audience of roughly 4.3M on Instagram and 9M on Youtube.

Spacestation Gaming competes in nine different esports including Rocket League, Brawl Stars, PUBG Mobile, SMITE, Paladins, Apex Legends, Shadowverse, and Super Smash Bros.

The esports organization has previously signed deals with the likes of  Uber Eats, Vertagear, HyperX, and with the Utah Jazz to be its official esports partner.

The limited-edition box will be available in stores at Walmart, Target, and other major stores in the United States beginning in early 2020.
