Homes Under The Hammer host Martin Roberts sparks FRENZY with Glastonbury 2019 post

Martin Roberts sparked a number of amusing replies from fans as he revealed he was attending Glastonbury 2019. The Homes Under The Hammer host was one of the first to arrive at Worthy Farm on Wednesday, when he took to Instagram to update his 10,000 followers. The 55-year-old filmed himself in front of the near empty fields, captioning the video: “It’s 8:35 and I’m already in #GLASTONBURY having got up at ridiculous o’clock. So good to be back.” The presenter, who has been a regular face on the BBC show since it started in 2003, is enjoying a weekend of camping at the star-studded event.

Martin said in the clip: “Well it’s about quarter to nine on Wednesday morning, and I am already in… Glastonbury.

“Take a look at this! Pretty quiet at the moment, I got up at crack of sparrows whatever to be here. Managed to avoid the queues and just wandering around.”

He continued: “There’s nobody here yet. This scene behind me will change dramatically over the next five days.

“If you’re here, come and say hello, hope you have a fab Glastonbury. If not, watch it on the tele and I’ll do some reports as I go around.”

One user responded: “I’m going to enjoy your Instas this weekend!! Thank you!!”(sic)

Someone else agreed: “Have the best time @martinrobertstv. You are a mentalist getting there so early… like, one of the craziest guys I know!

“How long are you there? I may be there at some point, we should meet for some festival frolics.”

“Homes under the hammer special? @martinrobertstv,” a third questioned.

Meanwhile, others went on to reference the property show which made him a household name.

“Probably the worse house you have ever viewed. Enjoy – Peace man,” one fan suggested.

Another quipped: “I wonder if you could redevelop those tents and sell them on. Remembering to read the legal pack first.”

Martin has been consistently posting from the world famous festival ever since, and hours later proved organisers still had plenty to do.

“The pyramid stage isn’t quite ready yet #glastonbury,” he said, before offering to help them set up.

The star also posted: “Good morning from #glastonbury forget the big bands, this is what it’s all about for me. Peace and love to you.”

It saw a group of people dancing around together while singing, with a band playing in the background.

Homes Under The Hammer airs weekdays at 10am on BBC One.
