Former Home and Away star Olivia Deeble has revealed she felt scrutinised for her weight when she first joined the show at the age of 13.

‘Because I was on TV from such a young age, people always commented on my weight because I fluctuated a lot,’ she said.

‘Growing up in this industry, people always want you to be insecure because it makes them feel better about themselves,’ she added.

Despite the pressure of being in the public eye, the former child star stays positive when it comes to her body image.

Olivia, who made her screen debut at just eight years old, explained: ‘I’m quite curvy and I’m quite strong with thick legs, which I love.’

She added: ‘I love my body, but it’s taken me long time to go, “No, I am beautiful”, and as women, we need to love our bodies… If people are scrutinising you because of your weight that’s so unfair and so ridiculous.’

Olivia says that one of the benefits of being famous from a young age is growing a ‘thick skin’, which helps her to deal with trolls on Instagram.

Having previously starred as Raffy Morrison on Home and Away for three years,  Olivia recently quit the show to try her luck in Hollywood.
