Hollyoaks 'leak' Luke Morgan's exit as he doesn't appear in flash-forward episode


Hollyoaks’ Luke Morgan (Gary Lucy) will not feature in the soap’s New Year’s Eve flash-forward episode sparking fears he is going to be killed off.

Fans of the Channel 4 show have been terrified Luke is going to die in 2020 after being diagnosed with dementia.

According to The Sun Online, Luke Morgan actor Gary Lucy will not appear in the special hour-long episode, which will jump forward a year to explore the new drug dealing County Lines storyline, meaning he could die in the next 12 months.

While Luke’s ex Mandy Richardson (Sarah Jayne Dunn) and his friend Nancy Hayton (Jessica Fox) both appear in the festive flash-forward episode, Luke does not and his absence remains unknown.

Taking to a fan forum, many viewers asked if Luke’s dementia diagnosis meant he would be leaving Hollyoaks village for good.

The news comes after Luke broke off his engagement to girlfriend Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) just days after proposing to her.

Fans were left in tears at the heartbreaking scenes and started to ponder about Luke’s future.

One fan penned: “Oh wow. Not expecting that at all. I think he’ll die in late 2020.”

Another said: “Unless it’s a misdiagnosis or something, I think this must be the end of Luke.”

A third predicated: “Soaps do often kill off an iconic character in an anniversary year. But I think Gary is going to smash this and it will be heartbreaking to watch.”

Gary, 38, joined Hollyoaks in 1999 and was a series regular up until 2002.

During his time in the soap, the former Footballers’ Wives star has received praia for taking on the male rape storyline and won the Best Newcomer Award at the British Soap Awards in 2000.

Fans are convinced that Luke be killed off in the new year?

His returned to the soap in 2017. and then again earlier this year following his character’s stint behind bars.

Hollyoaks spoilers have revealed that Luke is set to face a heartbreaking Christmas as he struggles to come to terms with his life-changing diagnosis.

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4 followed by a first look episode on E4 at 7pm
