Hollyoaks fans baffled as Mercedes 'admits' she killed Liam in arrest twist


Hollyoaks favourite Mercedes McQueen was determined to make James Nightingale and Grace Black pay for shooting her in tonight’s first look episode on E4.

Grace decided that she needed to hand herself in to the police in order to protect the ones she loves after killing her brother Liam Donovan.

James surprised his family with a last supper before the police arrived at his door, but there was shock twist.

Grace and James were surprisingly saved when Mercedes turned up at the police station with a plan of action to get them all off the hook.

Fans of the Channel 4 soap were baffled as Mercedes told PC Kiss that Liam tried to kill her in a bid to keep Grace and James out of jail.

Taking to Twitter, one fan said: “Mercy taking the blame for Liam’s death is a twist I never saw coming.”

Another added: “Wow”

A third posted: “Hollyoaks ended on a nice note for once.”

A fourth said: “McQueen/Black/Donovan/Nightingale feud is all over now or is it?”

Grace said goodbye to her family as she headed to the police station

Grace was seen bidding farewell to her young son Curtis during tonight’s show as she was prepared to hand herself into the police.

Fiancé Sylver McQueen told her that he didn’t love her anymore and she thought it was best for her to be behind bars away from her friends and family.

James rung the police on himself and enjoyed a last meal with Marnie, Romeo and Juliet before officers turned up at his front door.

James thought he was going to jail before Mercedes stepped in and saved him

James and Grace waited patiently in the police station to confess all but Mercedes saved the day and told the cops that she killed Liam in “self defence”.

Mercedes told a confused Grace and James that she told the made up story to the police in order for them all to stay out of jail.

Both James and Grace were thankful and the trio walked off together, but how long with the happiness last?

Hollyoaks continues on Channel 4 tomorrow night at 6.30pm followed by a first look episode on E4 at 7pm
