Holly Willoughby was spotted practicing social distancing while stepping out to get groceries amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The This Morning star and others around her kept their distance while waiting in line to get into Marks & Spencer.

The 39-year-old also had on a pair of black gloves as she waited patiently to complete her shopping.

Holly stocked up well, carrying three bags filled to the brim with items for her husband Dan Baldwin, 45, and children Harry, 10, Belle, eight, and Chester, five.

She is still presenting the ITV morning show alongside co-host Phillip Schofield despite the coronavirus lockdown.

On Monday 23 March, Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered Brits to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary to leave the house for food supplies, exercise or if you’re a ‘key worker’.

The ITV presenters revealed the reason they were able to go ahead with the show was that This Morning is seen as an ‘essential service’.

Phillip said: ‘The government has classed us as essential service for the time being to bring you the latest news on the virus, to answer your concerns with our doctors, to offer useful advice and to hopefully lighten the load as only This Morning knows how.’

Holly commented: ‘We are running with a skeleton staff from now on and with lots of people working from home, and all our regular services have been cut back to a minimum.’

Holly’s outing to the supermarket comes just as another 260 people have died of coronavirus in the UK in the largest daily jump since the outbreak began.

The Department of Health said 1,019 people have now lost their lives to Covid-19, up from 759 yesterday.

In England, a further 247 people died, while Scotland recorded seven more deaths, Wales four and Northern Ireland two.
