Holly Willoughby: 'Don't know what to do' This Morning star in 'desperately sad' admission

Holly Willoughby, 39, candidly admitted she is suffering from mood swings as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The presenter opened up about her emotions to her co-host Phillip Schofield, 57, during today’s episode of This Morning.

The duo are currently fronting the ITV daytime show with a skeleton staff after the programme was deemed to be an “essential service” by the UK Government.

Holly began by joking that it feels “like all the adults have left the building”, as she and Phillip returned to the studio after the weekend.

Phillip then divulged: “It’s all driving us crazy. We’re all going slightly mad.”

Addressing how she’s feeling during the country’s lockdown, Holly added: “I swing between, there’s no medium ground.

“Burnt toast and an apple served on a bread board… heaven.

“Happy Mother’s Day to you all… it’s different but the love’s the same,” Holly added.

Phillip also marked his wife Stephanie Lowe’s 56th birthday in isolation with their two daughters Molly, 27, and Ruby, 24.

The television personality, who revealed he is gay after 27 years of marriage in a statement last month, made sure his other half’s day was special.

The pair’s children shared photos of their home decorated in birthday balloons and cards alongside four glasses of what appeared to be Buck’s Fizz to begin the day.

Stephanie was pictured in one snap, in which she seemed to be admiring some eye-catching golden balloons, which spelled out Happy Birthday.

Molly also posted a picture of some colourfully decorated cupcakes.

She added the caption: “Baked my mum some birthday cupcakes.”

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
