Holly Willoughby breaks silence on ITV show replacement as TWO new hosts are announced


Holly Willoughby, 39, stepped down from her role on Celebrity Juice after 12 years back in May. Today, host Keith Lemon, 47, announced that Laura Whitmore, 35, and Emily Atack, 30, were the show’s new team captains ahead of the upcoming series. 

Keith, real name Leigh Francis, took to his Instagram page this evening to announce the news, in view of his 1.7 million followers.

The comedian shared a picture of himself, Laura and Emily celebrating their new gig together with a glass of champagne.

He wrote: “All new @celebjuiceofficial on t’ telly Autumn on @itv2 with new team captains my pals @thewhitmore and @emilyatackofficial can’t wait!”(sic)

Holly seemed tp approve of the new line-up ahead of the show’s upcoming series, as she commented: “Woohoo!!!!! Looking absolutely gorgeous,” alongside pink heart emojis.

A third penned: “Brilliant!!!! Best choices ever x.”

Long-term team captain Holly announced her departure from the show on Instagram in May.

As part of a lengthy statement, she commented: “All good things must come to an end and nothing lasts forever.

“Thank you for making me laugh for 12 years.”

She added: “I’ll be back as a guest and just to make sure someone is keeping you in check.”

Holly had been a captain on the show alongside her friend Fearne Cotton since its inception in 2008.

The latter left the show in 2018 to focus on other work commitments.

She said at time: “After ten years of complete fun, I have decided to leave Celebrity Juice.

“It has been a joy to be part of this magnificent show and I wish the team the very best in future series.”
