Hollie Arnold: I'm A Celebrity 2020 star sheds a stone but 'feels bad' over weight loss

Hollie Arnold has revealed that her time in Gwrych Castle saw her leave a stone lighter, on her exit last Friday. A strict and consistent diet of rice and beans teamed with minimal snacking has forced the paralympian – like most campmates over the years – to lose weight.

Hollie was the first celebrity to be eliminated from this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!.

And she revealed that she’s still re-adjusting to normal life once being out of the castle, especially re-adapting to portion sizes.

Speaking to Vick Hope on I’m A Celebrity… The Daily Drop, Hollie revealed: “I’ve currently lost nearly a stone so I’m actually really happy.”

But the weight loss came at a price for Hollie, as she added: “I also kind of feel bad as I feel like I’ve lost a bit of muscle mass, too.”

Hollie went on: “There was the lovely food and they’d written, ‘Welcome Hollie’. I saw chips and crisps and went straight for that. Food, flavour, salt! After that much chips [mimes small amount] I was like, ‘I feel sick’.

“There was fruit, chocolate and crisps and everything and I was like, ‘Why can’t I finish this?’ My stomach has shrunk so much.

“The best way they’ve told us is to eat slowly and gradually throughout the day. But I can’t wait to have fish and chips from Grimsby, and curry sauce and scraps and maybe a battered sausage on the side.”

After being eliminated from the hit ITV show, Hollie joined Ant and Dec for a chat.

Hollie confessed: “It’s awful. I feel like I never really knew what to expect.

“You go in there and enjoy every single moment of it. I miss them already, I really do.

“I had a feeling it was going to be me, I’m slightly superstitious. I love everybody in there and their values and friendships and what they mean to me and I will never forget this experience.”

“I didn’t want to say goodbye because it doesn’t feel like goodbye. I hope when I go back and watch everything, I hope our friendships and love is genuine. Every morning, I’ll miss waking up on that hard horrible bed.”
