PSV winger Hirving Lozano has suggested he would consider rejecting Manchester United after admitting that he wants to play Champions League football next season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side failed to finish in the top four in the Premier League and face the prospect of playing in the Europa League next season.

Lozano, meanwhile, has enjoyed an impressive season with PSV, scoring 21 goals and registering 12 assists in 38 appearances.

Reports in March claimed that United have been in talks with Lozano’s agent Mino Raiola to discuss a potential deal this summer.

And the Mexico international admits he would be open to leaving PSV.

‘I think I’m ready to take a step forward,’ Lozano told Voetbal International.

‘But it makes no sense to talk about things that could happen, my heart is with PSV and I’m not sure what will happen tomorrow.’

However, Lozano was keen to stress the importance of playing for a club in the Champions League.

‘It’s the stage that I aspire to be on, it’s also necessary to become a better footballer,’ said Lozano, who has also been linked with a move to Napoli.

‘It’s important for me to play against the best footballers in the world.’
