Hilaria Baldwin is quite literally standing by husband Alec Baldwin after sharing a photo alongside the actor ahead of his first interview tonight.

It was revealed that Alec, 63, will sit down for an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos to discuss the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins for the first time. Alec discharged a gun on the set of western movie Rust, accidentally killing Hutchins who was the film’s cinematographer.

As a teaser for the interview was released, Hilaria shared a selfie of her posing next to the actor. It appears the photo was taken backstage as Alec is seen wearing a similar suit to the one he wears in the interview trailer.

‘One foot in front of the other 🤍,’ Hilaria captioned the Instagram photo.

She also shared a meme which said: ‘A soulmate is not going to know how to automatically handle you. A soulmate is going to learn & grow with you through your flaws & insecurities.

‘A soulmate will choose to stay when things get tough. They will look for solutions and communication instead of running.’

In a teaser for the interview, shared on the Good Morning America Twitter account, Alec said: ‘She was someone who was loved by everyone who worked with her, liked by everyone she worked with and admired.

‘Even now, I find it hard to believe that, it just doesn’t seem real to me.’

He was seen wiping away tears when asked how he ‘comes to terms’ with what happened on set.

The 30 Rock star also said he didn’t point the gun at Hutchins and pull the trigger on set of the Western.

‘It wasn’t in the script for the trigger to be pulled,’ Stephanopoulos remarked, to which he replied: ‘Well the trigger wasn’t pulled, I did not pull the trigger.

‘No, no, no, no, no, I would never point a gun at anyone and pull a trigger at them, never.’

When asked if this is the ‘worst thing’ that has ever happened to him, he added: ‘Yes. Because I think back and I think of… what could I have done.’

Alec’s interview with Stephanopoulos, a prime time special, will air on Thursday, at 8pm ET, on ABC – which is 1am on Friday morning in the UK.
