We’ve only recently got over the plot twists of You, laughed like giddy teenagers at Sex Education and had a lot of WTF? moments at Abducted in Plain Sight, but Netflix’s latest offering may just have us firmly back on our sofas for another weekend with their new show, The Society.
Dubbed the ‘contemporary take on Lord of the Flies’, The Society follows a group of teenagers who are mysteriously transported to an alternative version of their wealthy New England town, left without any trace of their parents.
Of course, as teenagers go, their newfound freedom will be fun – but quickly become dangerous.
As they struggle to figure out what has happened to them and how to get home, they must establish order and form alliances if they want to survive.
The positively-outlandish show boasts a cast of some very familiar faces, including Big Little Lies’ Kathryn Newton, and Kristine Froseth who previously graced our screens as Veronica in Sierra Burgess is a Loser.
While the show isn’t released until May (no official date confirmed yet), we already know it’s one we’re going to be hooked to.
