Here's what your horoscope has in store for you in 2020 (and the New Year's resolutions you should make based on it)

We all enter January with a renewed sense of vigour and purpose but if your New Year energy is waning or you’re still feeling a little lost, we’ve enlisted Shamanic Homeopath & Astrologer, Venus And Vesta, to help you make the absolute most out of 2020.

The astrologer has looked to the stars to forecast what the year ahead holds for each star sign – and what New Year’s resolution you should be focussing on based on yours.

Aries, your clever, ten steps ahead, and outward focused mind will be turning inwards in 2020, starting in February when the first Mercury Retrograde occurs in your twelfth house of the sub-conscious and the hidden. This encourages deep and ponderous reflection, which isn’t usually your strong suit, so it may take you a while to get used to the new emotional landscape it opens up – it is in dreamy Pisces after all.

It will show that not everything is as certain as you once believed, but don’t ignore what your intuition is saying – you may be surprised what inspiration comes to you when you slow down and listen in. Mercury is challenging you to rethink some of the outdated things your powerful mind is telling you, so when Venus, planet of love and money goes retrograde in May, you will be ready to discard these old habits, situations and even friends that do not feel like a good fit anymore.

As one door closes, another opens dear Aries; two lunar eclipses in June and July bring major shifts in your work sectors. You will have already upgraded your mind-map, created some lofty goals and made space for something shiny and adventurous – your get up and go nature doesn’t need any more encouragement to make the most of modifications in the workplace these eclipses bring in. What could be a complicated challenge to some, is an opportunity to get closer to the corner office for you. Your pioneering attitude is going to boss it this summer as you learn on the job and gain true respect.

Whilst you are busy building your empire, setting the world on fire, your ruler Mars, the dynamic God who brings certainty, focus and drive, takes a retrograde journey through your first house of the self during September and November, taking the fizz and the fire out of your personal mission. All sorts of distractions during this time can cloud your vision and take away your generally rock-solid confidence, so you will need to stay disciplined and focused to keep up your exuberant and expansive agenda.

Daring Miss Ram wants to power through, but without Mars, there is no ‘va va va voom’ and Aries, you will have to drop some of your dazzling juggling activity and have a ‘less is more’ mantra. Mars going retrograde is another big red slow-down sign that’s not to your taste, but again, once you do, your inner guide will highlight what is real, and important, and vital for your coming success in 2021.

TAURUS

Since Uranus, the crazy planet of change, entered earthy Taurus in March 2019, the steady and reliable bulls have had their own high-speed broadband channel of vitality and zest, and this can be disconcerting for the bull who likes things niiiiiice and eeeasy. However, 2020 is set to demonstrate to gentle Taurus that change can be a good thing…already January’s Saturn/Pluto conjunction in earth sign, Capricorn, is helping Taurus explore new frontiers for the future and encouraging a more entrepreneurial spirit.

Saturn and Pluto are joining up here in the bull’s ninth house of learning and enterprise, to deconstruct powerful organisational structures, so the old and the traditional gives way to something entirely new. Luckily Jupiter the planet of abundance and expansion is going to be joining these two heavyweight planets all year, delivering inspiration and opportunity for the traditional minded Taurus who is going to be pushed in exciting new directions. Are you ready for an adventure, Miss Bull?

The three 2020 Mercury Retrogrades in Feb/Mar, Jun/Jul and Oct/Nov take place in social sectors of your chart and this will be a time when friendships and relationships come under the microscope. Everyone knows they can trust a Taurean, but your enduring loyalty will be tested during these retrogrades, taking you back to familiar conversations that you will want closure on. Neptune, the planet of illusion has been travelling through your eleventh house of socialising for a few years and has made you lose faith in flaky friends and you now expect their unreliability. But Taurus, do not let your friends mistake your dependability for some kind of luxury door mat, get wise to their flakiness and trust that Neptune is actually inviting you to open up your phone contacts, shake things up a little, with a more loyal, but also creative social squad and wildly new experiences.

Venus of love, beauty and money, is your ruler, so when this love planet retrogrades in May in your second house of resources, work and worthiness, it is prime time to take stock of your values and valuables. A little consideration about what you are doing, how much you are charging or earning, how closely are you following your dreams, is required. Taurus likes to have creature comforts and Venus retrograding here is saying ‘do what you love, love what you do’, and this is the year to make that happen. Venus is encouraging you to believe in yourself and understand how unique your skills are, so when the Gemini and Sagittarius eclipses occur in December, the opportunities they bring also magnetise more earning power and more spending power – what’s not to love?

GEMINI

Gemini you are so used to playing the joker in the pack, yet Jupiter travelling through your house of relationships in 2019 might have taught you, that not everyone can keep up with your light-hearted way with exclusive friendships. In January 2020, Saturn and Pluto meet in serious-minded Capricorn and invite you to go much deeper with any significant others, as these two planets demonstrate to you, how your playful view of a committed relationship needs updating – throw out the idea of ‘bride-zilla’ you keep laughing to yourself about and think how you could manifest an emotionally mature, sexier and more intense, one-on-one pairing, to go deeper than you have ever gone before. Yes, you can say ‘I do’ or at least commit to something for the future.

Saturn and Pluto bring in the long-term developments in your eighth house of intimacy and shared finances, but Jupiter stays here all year and pushes you to open up your sensuality, passion and finally, putting down a deposit on a pad.

Being the wit and the wonder of most social scenes is what you do best, but when Venus, the planet that keeps you charming and fascinating, retrogrades through Gemini in May, your mojo goes missing. Venus retrogrades once every 18 months or so, in a different sign each time, so when it’s your turn Gemini, it’s time to check in with your twin (your shadow side), and see which one of you is driving the bus. As an air sign, your mental capacity is strong, but Venus here in your first house of the ‘self’, wants you to check in with what you FEEL because when you over ride how you feel, ‘the shadow’ or the un-conscious part of you becomes stronger. As the sign of the twins, you may connect to this more than most and Venus Retrograde is giving you the chance to unravel some of your complex thoughts, and in turn, your emotions. This is an inner journey just for one, so do not be surprised if you find yourself alone during this retrograde – it is actually a real treat and one to be cherished, because when Venus goes direct again in late June, your scintillating self will be back but with fresh thinking, more power and a better idea how to prioritise you and your goals.

The more potent ‘you’ that emerges is more self-assured and has more earning power, especially due to the eclipses in January and July in your skills and income sectors, so when a lunar eclipse takes place in Gemini, in November, you are ready to make a move, or several moves. Looking back, you will see how far you have come, and what felt like a hardship back then, is now just a step towards finding your own special buzz, out of the hundreds of day dreams that your brain generates – not an easy task. This lunar eclipse will highlight that you cannot do everything and you need to close the door on some of your escapades and even some of your tribe; indeed, you have significantly outgrown them anyway and only now at the end of this year, will you comprehend the bigger picture and be able to make some assertive and satisfying moves.

CANCER

Illustrations by Kerry Squires

Something inside you has been brewing for a while now. Itchy feet? Restless? You can blame the North Node destiny point for your antsy, as it has been travelling through Cancer since November 2018, urging you to think about where you are heading and why. The answers have not come easily, because the North Node opens up karmic tasks and pathways you probably hadn’t thought of…and pushing you out of the comfort zone. You crabs do like a comfort zone so if you haven’t already, this is a time to seriously upgrade, style yourself differently or try something new; your first step in any direction, will up open up avenues towards incredible new vistas, created just for you.

You have until May for this karmic destiny card to be played, exactly when Venus starts her retrograde journey through your twelfth house of the sub-conscious. Venus going retrograde here in Gemini will give you the immediate impression that you have made a big mistake, whoopsy! However, this is just Venus urging you to let go of the past because this too is a comfortable place for you and some of those thoughts and memories you’ve been hanging on to, have outstayed their welcome. As Venus withdraws from this, your fully-loaded Cancer memory bank, you will soon be saying ‘what was I thinking?’ as the sentimental loses its appeal AND its hold on you.
The expansive planet Jupiter has entered Capricorn, in your seventh house of relationships for a whole year and this means all eyes on the significant other.

For those crabs in a partnership, business or romantic, it is time to work on making improvements as Jupiter expands the good as well as the not so good. The eclipses of the past year and those in January and June 2020 on the Cancer / Capricorn axis are highlighting your tendency to want to help and heal your partner, when your own needs are equally as important in a mutually supportive pairing.

These lessons will repeat in 2020, but now they cannot be ignored until you learn that loving and sharing works best when you receive just as much as when you give. Putting yourself in receptive mode will dramatically revolutionise your love life and any relevant work connections. The same could be said for single crabs, but with the additional advice Jupiter imparts of knocking down any Capricorn style walls you may have built around your heart – it’s time to show your soft side, Miss Cancer.

This soft side of yours is what makes you unique Cancer, and Mars’ retrograde in September is here to show you how your caring nature makes you a great role model and example to us all. Putting your caring into your career instead of your relationship could really pay dividends for both career and romance. Mars rules your house of self-expression, so its journey backwards through Aries in September to November will take away some of the roles you have assigned yourself – you can’t be everyone’s nursemaid – and then you begin to doubt yourself, what am I? Don’t take any rejection that occurs during this time to heart, it’s not them, it’s you…you have an important mission on this planet and you are simply being redirected to more intense and eventually rewarding projects that will come to fruition in 2021.

LEO

Illustrations by Kerry Squires

January’s Cancer eclipse is set to give you some kind of emotional breakthrough Leo, where you suddenly realise what or who is really important to you. The idea of creating deeper emotional connections with your favourite people in a more private way, has been holding sway in the last few years as the eclipses on the Cancer / Capricorn axis have activated more secretive parts of you. Perhaps the realisation that starring in your own show and sharing your immense light, has left you exhausted, and this emotionally charged lunar eclipse and the second Cancer eclipse that follows in June, enables you to develop a more strategic friendship and relationship hierarchy.

You have needs too and this is where you learn that not everybody wants or deserves your warmth and generosity, and maybe making commitments to those in your inner circle, enables you to relax, knowing you have created a great ‘pride’ of lions with a tribe of people who love you back and support you equally.

Jupiter, the planet of expansion now steps into your house of health and work for a whole year and this is where you get to develop a more organised approach to your life. Jupiter will be in success-orientated Capricorn, so this won’t just be sorting out your filing and fitness, although these more humdrum elements will definitely need looking at – this is where you work on your master plan to bring in the money, vitality and success you deserve. As you receive this boost to your dynamism and your daily tactics, two big planets, Saturn and Pluto, get together in Capricorn in January, and their meeting is a major collision that could put an end to some of the organisations you are aligned with or work for. Whilst this might look like a down-turn for your career or your health, it is actually a golden opportunity to build something totally original for yourself that thrives under your flair for the dramatic and the pleasurable.

Yes, enjoyment is on the cards, but this also means you have work to do dear Leo, so when Venus goes retrograde in May and June, it will throw some shade on your social style. Pleasure and playing could become a chore during Venus’ backwards journey but nobody wants to see the lions leaving the party. Venus, planet of love and money, is inviting you to get clever about your socialising and wake up to the networking opportunities your natural charisma could draw in. You have the diplomacy to be a little more calculated about where you go and who with and with a little discernment, introductions to better business AND romantic options are a sure bet, and maybe, even a special someone.

Staying in will be the new ‘going out’ come November when outward driven Mars, retrogrades in your house of adventure. You’ve been juggling an awful lot and Mars wants you to focus on fewer things and get deeper into the detail of a select couple of projects. Let things fall away dear Leo, since ‘less is more’ during any Mars Retrograde and we know this doesn’t come naturally to you. Mars is just stopping you from sabotaging yourself with too much enthusiasm for too many things; honing down your projects to what is really important for you and starred for success. You have the ability to become the expert once you have less to do and this is just as well, since the Sagittarius solar eclipse in December in your fifth house of self-expression is the platform to re-launch yourself with your newly acquired wisdom and authority for 2021.

VIRGO

Illustrations by Kerry Squires

Since the electrifying planet Uranus, in charge of change and freedom entered Taurus in May 2018, things have got a little more exciting in your life Virgo and perhaps this was needed for someone as conscientious as you. The wild card that is planet Uranus, sitting in your adventure and learning sector, will continue to shake things up for you until 2026, so ‘unpredictable’ is the new norm. To add to this in 2020, expansive Jupiter has entered Capricorn and is going to super-charge the creativity and winning style in your life to another level, for a whole year. Are you ready Virgo?

Uranus and Jupiter, both in earth signs, will be beaming a fantastic combination of motivation and inspiration that you can be ultra-organised with. It’s time to show everyone just how brilliant and productive you can be, given the right tools and ideas.

People are going to notice this new dynamism and the eclipses in Cancer in your social sector, in January and June will being in new and meaningful people to your life, or deepen the emotional connections with those already in it. At the same time the Capricorn eclipse in July will be working with Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto, all in your fifth house, which will be super fertile with all the activity in it. If a bouncing baby is on your wish list, the planets are on your side all year, or alternatively, your baby could be an amazing new business project, so it is a good time to launch any of your creative ideas.

All this productive creativity will pay off, yet in May when Venus, planet of love and money retrogrades in Gemini in your tenth house of status and ambition, you may feel that you have chosen the wrong path. Doubts or anxiety may arise and whilst you cannot give too much energy to your fears, you are clever enough to sort out which of these needs your attention and which to ignore. An eclipse in Gemini at the end of November will be the decisive answer to where you really are heading, or closure on a project, even if this is the end of something you were working towards, you are not going without some recognition for your hard work, in the form of a promotion or award.

You are about to have a fantastically creative and busy year Virgo, so do not be too concerned if you lose your mojo when Mars retrogrades in Aries in November. You cannot be working at full speed forever and Mars will be slowing you down in order to peel back some layers and reveal to you, some hidden agendas. As well as listening to your body if you are tired around this time, you must also trust your intuition too, as the old saying says, ‘energy doesn’t lie’ and your psychic powers will be on point.

LIBRA

Illustrations by Kerry Squires

Your home life is in the spotlight for 2020 with a life-changing lunar eclipse and three major planets active in your fourth house of home, family and foundations for most of the year. This is your domestic zone which is ruled by Capricorn who holds the authority of the ages and represents tradition, so January’s big clash between Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn will herald a major re-organisation of long held standards or rules in your living space, perhaps even an exciting house move.

On the surface, it may look like you are getting ready to break away from the parents, move out or buy property, but if you look deeper, some of the disruption this entails is taking apart the long held and restrictive structures you have inherited to run your life along.

Capricorn rules structures (buildings and authority), so whether this is bricks and mortar move, or just ideas about how you should live, the spotlight will demand some kind of examination of family ties due to Saturn, and a resulting evolution because of Pluto. This might be the long-awaited breakthrough that you need dear Libra and will certainly release you from any binding contracts or mortgages, so that you can drop your emotional anchor in more supportive and fruitful ground.

Whilst this will take up a lot of your time and attention, you also have Jupiter, the planet of growth and abundance in this Capricorn home sector for the whole of 2020, bringing fresh energy into your inner world, magnetising new and interesting people into your tribe and even perhaps, expanding your brood. Jupiter will ensure these home or even maternal developments will be keeping you busy, so in May, when Venus the planet of love, beauty and money retrogrades in your adventure and travel sector, you will be more than happy to stay at home.

Venus is giving you the signal to realign your goals and this might seem that finance and opportunities have been taken away, but when one door closes in this Venus Retrograde, you only have to wait until the solar eclipse in late June for another to come bursting open. This solar eclipse on 21st June, hits your career point bang on, lighting the fuse for inspirational business ventures to go sky high or your dream job to come knocking; the corner desk is yours Libra.

Libra is the sign of romance and love, and you do like to wear rose tinted spectacles, however Mars is about to whip those glasses out of your hand in September when Mars retrogrades through your seventh house of relationships. Mars is the God of sex, so this is a lock down on sex and romance as your mojo goes missing and AWOL. If you are single, don’t even think about scrolling through Tinder; your time for finding any kind of action is not now and maybe you need a new tactic anyway? And for couples, the ‘we need to talk’ conversation may bring about revelations as you see how sex can get in the way of honest relating anyway. Don’t worry, because when the ‘fluttery feelings’ return, you will have a deeper wisdom and a more alluring confidence that comes with experimenting and experience.

SCORPIO

Illustrations by Kerry Squires

Scorpio, is there something you need to say? Well, in January you are going to have to spit it out as the clash of giant planets Saturn and Pluto, in your third house of communication, is telling you to open up about something you consider deeply personal or inappropriate to let out the bag (you know how you can keep a deathly secret). If you cannot bear to speak the words, write them down Scorpio; these thoughts and ideas have been brewing for a while, so perhaps they could form the basis of your first novel, community project or business plan. Saturn here is urging you to build something sustainable and this is why you have gone back to the drawing board several times over in the past year; yet now, you are acutely aware that with Pluto, your powerful ruler, there are high stakes and what you reveal could be not only transformational but truly sensational. Look, it’s good to talk and as you have been dissatisfied with certain situations or arrangements, try not to see this as divulging secrets and more like, releasing everyone from a mediocre and restrictive plan, including yourself.

What’s more, January’s lunar eclipse in Cancer is going to push you further into opening up and venturing out of your comfort zone with new adventures on the horizon. You will find inspiration in people and places further afield and as this eclipse is part of a series started in July 2018, on your local versus adventure axis. It seems the bravery and risks you take by using your voice close to home, could pay huge dividends with far flung opportunities opening up when the wider world sees your creative and insightful concepts. Another Cancer eclipse in June – the last of this series – opens up the doorway for you to show the world the things you are concerned about – you were born to make unique things happen and the world needs your deep intellect and originality to manifest and here is your moment.

That said, you are prone to a little self-sabotage, so in May when the planet of love and money Venus, goes retrograde in your house of earned income, don’t blame yourself when the value drops out of your shares and interests. You are motivated by money and its power, so Venus disappearing at this point, is disconcerting for you, but in reality, this is steering you to find joy and pleasure in places or ideas you wouldn’t usually consider. This is a year of growing up emotionally too, when all three Mercury Retrogrades occur in water signs; this will open up your heart and your vulnerable, soft side, so perhaps someone special could walk in when you least expect it.

The devil is in the drive, come September when Mars, planet of sex and dynamism retrogrades through your house of health and daily tasks. Your usual assertiveness takes a back seat and instead, falling into a funk and staying in your pyjamas all day starts to appeal big time – there are high chances you will have found someone to share this hibernation with and make this into a cocoon for two. However, Mars is intrinsically linked to your health, so don’t fight this energy low – use this time to catch up on all the box sets you have been meaning to watch or take yourself off for a spa break. The key here is to take it easy, nice and slow, because when Mars returns to direct flow and your Scorpio new moon drops in November, it acts as your personal new year and re-boot; your passion projects are about to take off Miss Scorpio.

SAGITTARIUS

Illustrations by Kerry Squires

Sagittarius, you seem to have been working on developing new skills and trying out plans that are going to make you a millionaire for a while now, as revolutionary planet Pluto has been sitting in Capricorn, in your skills sector since 2008. Whilst the constant consideration about which job might be better than the current one and plans drawn up on the back of an envelope, might make you look a bit of a schemer and a dreamer, what you are really doing, as a pioneering sign, is reinventing a prosperous future for yourself in the new digital and virtual world.

If you consider the last time Pluto was in Capricorn, it kicked off the industrial revolution, no one could imagine how working life would change and again, we are in unchartered territory, and its down to you to create your long term financial strategy which will be copied and followed by an adoring crowd.

Serious Saturn has now joined Pluto here in Capricorn and they make a life-changing conjunction in January, and this is when you break ties with the old establishment, your work and security of the 9-5. You are ready for something far more flexible, if not freelance or even your own start-up. You have gained the ability and are ready to flee the nest, so the lunar eclipse in early January enables you to draw in investment and see cash flow opportunities ahead. This is what you have been waiting for and your newly gained confidence gives you a new magnetism you are going to love.

You are generally one step ahead and sometimes move so fast, that when Venus retrogrades in May, you will want your nearest and dearest to catch up, when in reality, they can only hold your coat and look on at your fantastic display of charisma and positive spirit.

Venus will make you question, whether your significant other, or a certain important relationship, really is of any value to you; your gravitas and abilities have grown and you want your loved ones to come along on by your side and not just tagging behind in your wake. As this is Gemini, there will be conversations to be had and perhaps these will clear the air and provide you with the right information to make the right decisions, “should I stay, or should I go”? You will put your heart on the line for the highest purpose in a union if you think this is achievable, and a late June solar eclipse in Cancer will be encourage you to follow a deeper emotional path and create closer connections with those you love, so the re-consideration process is an important one you Sagittarius.

You are already a mover and a shaker, but starting in June, the eclipse axis for the next few years will be in Sagittarius and Gemini, and this will open doorways for all your dreams to manifest. You are about to make some radical changes and the September Mars Retrograde in Aries helps you reinvent yourself. Somehow, you step into a completely new vibe and all your clothes and social media profile will look like they could do with an upgrade and this is the time to do it. All these planetary movements in 2020 will act like steps to take you to another level of personal magnetism and a higher profile, so by the year end, you will look back in awe at how far you have come.

CAPRICORN

Illustrations by Kerry Squires

Part of you is expecting the seismic shifts deconstructing your world in January when traditional Saturn, your ruler meets up with revolutionary Pluto, because you are probably the one causing them. You are in the eye of this particular ‘storm’ and have been working up to this moment for a couple of years now, noticeably since Saturn moved into Capricorn in December 2017. The other half of you is screaming, ‘why me?, why am I doing all the work and why can’t I have a nice holiday instead?’.

Capricorn, as a natural leader, you need to own this, as the life-changing Saturn / Pluto conjunction is THE main event, happening in YOUR sign, and is set to revolutionise our working lives. If you consider the last time Pluto was in Capricorn, it kicked off the industrial revolution; no one could imagine how working life would change. This time in 2020, we are in unchartered territory again, except this time, you have been instrumental in developing this brave new world, where one girl and her lap top can make millions, change lives and save the planet, with Saturn, the karmic task master as your guide. Yes, this is karmic, so whether you were aware of the enormity of what you were doing or not, your soul brought you here for an important mission and it will all start to pan out nicely from January in 2020 and you don’t even need to leave your house.

Except you do, of course. The knock-on effect of the big Saturn and Pluto clash in Capricorn and the Cancer lunar eclipse in January in your seventh house of loved ones and meaningful partners, does mean you will notice how much they need your support and want to connect with you, so what is stopping you from getting down on one knee? It is a leap year after all. This eclipse is part of a series, started back in 2018, so you may be working up to this already but been delayed by some unexpected twists and turns in your romantic story, or indeed a business relationship could be going through key stages of intense development.

Either way Capricorn girl, your partnerships are evolving dramatically as you do too, and if you and your partner have gotten closer during the roller coaster of the last two years, a commitment is on the cards, and if you cannot say ‘I do’ in January, a second Cancer eclipse in late June, could be another good time to make things official. If you are single, these eclipses have been taking you on quite a dating journey and you could probably write a book by now; however the June solar eclipse is the last in this series and will present the perfect opportunity to put the dating nightmares and emotional upsets behind you and create a more relaxed attitude towards partnerships and other halves. It also rings a loud bell for starting something very special, with someone with whom you have that instant connection with, so it will be worth the wait.

Mars rules your house of home and when the planet of sex, war and dynamism goes retrograde in September, it could force you to look at where you live, how you were brought up and who you live with, in a new and less attractive light, or perhaps an old problem rears its head again and this time it cannot be ignored. It isn’t natural for goats to hibernate, but now is your time to turn inwards and process some of the anger and frustration you haven’t truly acknowledged. Some of this may stem from your childhood and whilst looking backwards isn’t your style, Mars has truly restricted your progress until you start to feel good about yourself and your family life again. The tools you employ to help with this introspection, such as meditation, tapping or psychotherapy, will be with you for life. So at the year end, when the eclipse axis moves across your daily habits and sub-conscious patterns sectors, you can successfully upgrade your internal software and run a new and enhanced, winning at life, ninja master programme.

AQUARIUS

Illustrations by Kerry Squires

Aquarius, you are normally one step ahead of everyone else, in fact, you are generally already in the future, so when the Saturn / Pluto conjunction hits in January, it’s a shock to everyone else, but you are only glad that they have finally caught up with your head space and your one girl show. This planetary clash is happening in your twelfth house of the hidden and the sub-conscious, so you have already understood that the working world and society is under-going a major revolution, not only that, it NEEDS to go through this revolution and it is what you have been dreaming of from way before. Perhaps you hadn’t been aware you were having day dreams about a brave new world, but when things start to go down in January, and I mean, deconstruct or even fall apart, this isn’t a problem for you; you can actually see why they need to go and also, what would be best to take their place.

Being super detached has its benefits but the North Node destiny point has been travelling through caring Cancer, in your sixth house of daily habits and health for just over a year now and this is where the eclipses of the past two years have been occurring. Repeatedly they have been asking whether you really do love what you do, or are you really comfortable and happy with your daily tasks? You can be as vague as you like about answering, but then these lunations will send in the minions to create little upsets; annoying illnesses, tetchy clients, work friends leaving, which force you to take a deeper look at connecting and caring for the more mundane aspects of your life. Your open nature wants to allow everything to flow in its own way but if you actually stake your claim on what you love to do, the June solar eclipse (the last of this series), will make it happen. This is an ‘ask and it is given’ kind of vibe, but in most law of attraction tasks, and anything to do with Cancer, you actually have to feel it too, for your self-mastery to be put into action.

Have you left any broken hearts in your trail, Aquarius? Perhaps one or more of your exes are still waiting for closure and Venus Retrograde in May will bring those guys to your door. As love planet Venus is travelling backwards through Gemini, a fellow air sign, your initial response will be light-hearted and maybe lacking in gravitas, but don’t write him or her off too quickly, keep that door open. This person could be worth a second look especially if you are single, and not because they necessarily are your next sweetheart, but because of the conversations they want to have with you and the honesty they are prepared to discuss your time with them. Listen and learn dear water carrier. For those in relationships, it is time to talk, but don’t let the chat get heavy, keep it light but do act on what gets said in order to gain the Venusian love benefits that appear when Venus goes forward again. What you learn during this Venus Retrograde, could be the tools to draw in a new scintillating romance, or spark fascination with the one you are with.

Mars going retrograde in September takes the wind out of your sails and makes you a little confused about who said what, and why, since Mars will be travelling through your house of communication. Any planned mini breaks or weekend jaunts will be cut short, and this leaves you staying closer to home, non-plussed and bewildered. Do not fear the rest, reflection and solitude Mars brings, because at the year end, the eclipse axis now moves to your pleasure and social sectors, but whilst this is an opportunity knocks for fun, friends and affairs, it is not an excuse to go crazy; it is your calling to become the social dynamo and humanitarian spokesperson that Aquarians are famed for. Whatever project, enterprise or philosophical group you have been part of, needs your futuristic mind set and wild creativity to take it to the next level of leadership and expertise.

Try: Sober Curious, Half Moon Sober Festival and Morning Gloryville are new communities and events where you can party and meet interesting people, but without the hangover.

Rescue: A small pet, even if it’s a mouse, to bring out your soft side.

PISCES

Life seems to be a continual class about personal boundaries for you these days Pisces, and January’s line-up of planets and eclipses in Capricorn, in your social sector are no exception to this trend. Pluto the dark player has been in this sector since 2008 forcing you to develop your own personal power and assertiveness within your social tribe or your community, with a series of missed opportunities, tense atmospheres and squabbles within your squad that you have had to diplomatically deal with. This has been challenging for you, so when serious minded Saturn joins Pluto here for a clash of giants in January, the set-back it creates, is a massive wake up call for you to stop putting your trust and benevolence in other people and their organisations, especially when you have so much to give in your own right. Saturn, is the karmic planet and as it rules your social sector, it is activating your life’s mission to put YOUR creativity and YOUR kind heart to good use for the community or the planet right now, but you have to learn how to manage your boundaries a bit better before your master plan drops into place.

The Cancer lunar eclipse in January occurs right opposite this Saturn Pluto clash, in your house of self-expression and pleasure; it signals it is down to YOU dear Pisces to formulate and produce something YOU love to do. This isn’t anyone else’s game, you are player one and the world is waiting for your unique creativity to kick in, and if you can combine it with one of your hobbies, it will be even better.

Once you have embarked on your empire building, Venus planet of love and money going retrograde in Gemini, is going to draw your attention closer to home in May. Venus rules your communication and earned income sectors and this retrograde could make you miss a deadline or an important meeting that could have earned you a big pay rise and made things nice and comfy for yourself. You might feel this loss keenly, but missing this pay-out is directing you to a much more lucrative and stable financial source that you would not have made the effort to draw in had you been given this one. If things get tight, do not fall into worry states, because at the end of June when Venus returns to direct motion, the last Cancer solar eclipse in the Cancer/Capricorn series acts as a powerful launch pad to help you promote what you have been building, creating, drawing, designing, cooking in the previous six months, and this in turn gives you the chutzpah and the boldness to holler about your new goodies with a brilliant marketing coup, as well as say ‘no’ to demands on your time that take you away from your business goals.

The three Mercury Retrogrades in 2020 (in Feb/Mar, June/Jul, Oct/Nov), all start off in water signs like yourself, and these are a chance for you to put what you have learnt to the test. Each retrograde will bring up issues to show you how emotionally mature yet empathetic you are to people and how you can help them with your inner wisdom, earned from experience and your connection to the other side of ‘the veil’. This is a marvellous opportunity for you to fine tune your psychic skills and instead of just being casually aware of having extra sensory perception, it is time do something about it by learning about crystals, reiki, tarot or whatever you fancy diving into. Mercury rules your home and relationship sectors, so the actual process of training in this way, as well as what you pick up, even if it is just a hobby, will introduce you to new types of friends who really appreciate you for just showing up and being you. The warmth this instils, makes you feel like you have found your tribe. If you are single, the new spiritually skilled you that emerges is ready to draw in a more emotionally open, potential partner, and for those Pisceans in a relationship, the wisdom you now start to experience allows you to go deeper and get closer with your partner.

Extra hard-grafting around the Mars Retrograde in September when you least feel like it, is going to pay off massively, when the eclipse axis moves to Gemini and Sagittarius for the next few years. The Sagittarius solar eclipse in December, is a magical door which opens to bring you the platform, accolades and recognition you deserve. This eclipse can’t come soon enough as these accolades put you in the spotlight to magnetise the right opportunities and the extra finance you need to start living your dream.
