Here are all the dresses from tonight's 'sustainable' BAFTAs red carpet that our Fashion Editor thinks you *need* to see

While party planners across the pond have been kept busy with Awards Season over the last few weeks – see the Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice Awards, SAGs and Grammys – it’s finally the turn of us Brits to show how well we, too, can throw a bash.

Playing host to the BAFTAs this evening, the Royal Albert Hall is currently welcoming some of the world’s biggest names in acting as it celebrates an incredible year of film.

And while we’ve all got one eye on the main prize hoping that our favourite wins Best Film, we can’t help but keep our other eye firmly on the red carpet as stars arrive decked out in all their finery.

This year, BAFTA have acknowledged the often-frivolous nature of red carpet fashion and requested that guests ‘make sustainable choices on the red carpet’ as they aim for a carbon neutral ceremony and work towards a positive impact on the environment.. Whether they rent, borrow, rewear or opt for sustainably-designed new items, attendees will have ethical fashion on their mind.

Up for awards this year – and therefore *surely* going for it in the style stakes – are the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie, Saoirse Ronan, Awkwafina, Charlize Theron, Renée Zellweger, Florence Pugh and Laura Dern.

And, of course, we’re all waiting with baited breath as the Duchess of Cambridge marks her fourth consecutive appearance at the iconic awards ceremony. Having worn Alexander McQueen on two previous occasions – and Jenny Packham once – we’re predicting that she’ll champion another British designer, but perhaps one more unexpected?

Scroll down to see all the arrivals so far, and keep an eye on this page as we update it throughout the evening…
