THE family of rugby star Richie Mylar are proud of the player, weeks after he walked out on TV star Helen Skelton.
Richie walked out on telly host Helen, 38, and their three kids last month for another woman.
He is now dating the daughter of the multi-millionaire president of his rugby club.
But yesterday his sister Rachel posted a snap of herself with the Leeds Rhinos player as he turned 32.
She penned: “Happy birthday to the best big brother a sister could ask for.
“I love you so much and am proud of who you are.”
Richie posted the touching snap on his Instagram story.
His estranged wife has since unfollowed his account.
Helen was back hosting live telly for the first time at the weekend since announcing her separation from Richie in April.
The Counrtyfile presenter returned to TV to host the rugby league coverage on Channel 4 on Saturday after she shared the separation news in an emotional statement on her Instagram Stories.
A few days after it was revealed Richie was dating Stephanie Thirkill, Helen landed the job of hosting Channel 4’s rugby league coverage.
She had been absent from her BBC1 presenting job at Countryfile since the split but fans were delighted to see her presenting the Hull KR v Catalan Dragons game on Channel 4.
She is leading the coverage in the absence of presenter Adam Hills who is currently in Australia.
Helen looked stylish in an oversized black blazer, black trousers, and brown boots yesterday.
Fans were super supportive of the presenter and took to social media to share their thoughts on her return to our screens.
“Great to see Helen Skelton is still presenting the Rugby League on Channel 4,” one impressed fan said.
“I’m sure it can’t be easy for her given recent events but she always does a great job because she’s a top quality professional.”
While this one commented: “I do love @HelenSkelton! Fantastic presenter and is so passionate about our ace game.”
Meanwhile, The Sun revealed how Helen hired a private investigator after she became suspicious about rugby league star Richie’s behaviour.
