HELEN Flanagan has said her “gormless” footballer fiance Scott Sinclair was useless at the birth of both their children.
The 29-year-old star has admitted that the hunk was too busy “doing his hair” to help her load up the car when she went into labour with four-year-old Matilda.
And he was just as “useless” when 16-month-old Delilah came into the world, admitting that she “could have killed” her partner during both births.
Reflecting on her first labour, Helen said: “I was 11 days overdue having contractions, and he was like ‘do you not think it is all in your head?'”
She added on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast that she called the 30-year-old star “all the names under the sun” – and had to put her own pregnancy bag in the car as “Scott was doing his hair”.
And once they got to the hospital, Scott wasn’t much better – with Helen admitting that she screamed at her beau to leave the room because she wanted her mum instead.
She said: “I was looking at him thinking: ‘Why isn’t my mum here?’
The former Coronation Street actress continued: “The second time wasn’t much better.
“He looked a bit gormless, to be fair. They don’t get it.”
Scott and Helen have been together since 2009, with the pair welcoming Matilda in June 2015.
The two got engaged in May 2018, with Scott popping the question when they went on a romantic babymoon when Helen was pregnant with Delilah.
Helen shot to fame in 2000, when she took over the role of Rosie Webster in Corrie at the age of 10.
