Celtic WAG Helen Flanagan was all smiles as she stunned at her sister’s wedding on Sunday – despite fears that a foot injury would scupper her role in the big day.
In a late night Instagram post on Saturday, the former Coronation Street star told fans how she’d burned her foot on a shisha pipe while on holiday in Dubai.
A photo showed that her left foot was heavily bandaged and Helen said she couldn’t walk.
The accident took place only hours before she was due to due to fly home to Glasgow with her fiancé Scott Sinclair.
Mum-of-two Helen told of her fears that she would not be able to perform her bridesmaid duties at her sister Jane’s wedding to future brother-in-law Danny at Lake Windemere in Cumbria on Sunday.
However taking to Instragram on Sunday night the 29-year-old was all smiles as she stunned in a figure hugging burgundy dress and strappy black heels and cosied up to Celtic star Scott on Jane’s big day.
Posting on Instagram on Saturday she had said: “I’ve got to catch a flight in one hour and, to cut a long story short, I’ve burnt my foot on a shisha pipe.
“Oh my god I’m gonna have to get on this plane in a bikini.
“I’ve sobered up now, got a BLT sandwich. I’ve got to be a bridesmaid for my sister and foot is like this!”
“Apparently I can’t walk on it. What a fun night. It was really fun. I just have to be a big girl about it.”
Helen managed to get back to the Lake District for the big day.
Before the ceremony, actress Helen shared videos of herself having her hair blow dried in preparation for the wedding.
She said: “It’s wedding day and I’m so excited.
“I’m getting my hair blow-dried and mum is in makeup.
“I’m so excited.”
In another video she showed fans her 15-month-old daughter Delilah walking along the hotel corridor telling fans: ”She’s off. I knew Delilah would be 15 months… She was months to crawl.”
Referring to her eldest daughter, four, she wrote: “Matilda was months to crawl and 12 months to walk.”
