Heidi Klum reminded us all that good genes run in the family as she shared a sweet image of herself, mother Erna and her daughter Leni.
The supermodel was posing alongside her family members in a behind-the-scenes snap from the set of Heidi and Leni’s joint cover shoot for Vogue Germany.
Leni, 16, made her modeling debut with her mama in the January/February 2021 issue of the publication, and it turns out Erna was on had to witness the moment as well.
America’s Got Talent judge Heidi, 47, captioned the image: ‘In the Studio with my M❤️M and @leniklum for @voguegermany.’
Just days before, the model was revealing her pride at the fact Leni had chosen to step into the modeling world.
The Germany’s Next Top Model host shared a long, heartfelt message written in German which read: ‘I’m so proud of you. And it’s not because you’ve chosen your own path. I know, that no matter which path you were to go down, you would be your own woman.
‘You always know exactly what you want and what you don’t want. You are my little mini me. And I’m so happy for you, that you now know who YOU are.’
Heidi went on to admit that being her daughter ‘is not always easy’ because Leni never had the possibility to grow up ‘normal.’
She continued: ‘But what is normal? Growing up with three different daddies… And I would say: none of it harmed you. On the contrary: you are a self-possessed young woman, works hard for your goals. And even more important… you are a really cool person, with your heart in the right place.’
The model ended the message stating: ‘This Vogue [cover] is the best first step [in] the career you dream of. And even when it’s a little hard for me to let you go off into the world, I will always do everything for you to be happy and fulfill your dreams. I am so proud to be your mama.’
In the stunning shoot, Heidi and Leni wore blazers over shirts and loose trousers and sported matching hairstyles.
In another image, Heidi gave her daughter a kiss on the cheek and the pair also wowed in black and white images.
Delighted Leni also shared the images on Instagram and wrote: ‘So excited for my first cover!! I had so much fun on set with @voguegermany couldn’t dream of a better start!! Thank you for being by my side @heidiklum ❤.’
Leni – full name Helene Boshoven Samuel – was famously adopted by Heidi’s ex-husband Seal, however, her birth father is Flavio Briatore.
The German model is also a mother to Henry, 15, Johan, 14, and 11-year-old Lou.
