Dune has completed a massive overhaul of its ‘Head Over Heels’ line with the aim of appealing to a new, younger consumer.
The range, which once sat as an in-store concession, has this week been relaunched as a new brand, with tonnes more product and a separate website.
“We believe that there is a gap in the market for accessibly priced, fashion forward footwear and accessories,” Rob Silsbury, Dune’s Ecommerce & Marketing Director told the Standard.
From lime green patent stilettos to sculptural-heeled mules, the designs of these shoes are distinctly more fashion forward than anything you’ll see in Dune.
“Our shoes are sophisticated, stylish and bang on trend,” says Silsbury. “We react quickly to high fashion and create beautifully designed, contemporary shoes with extraordinary attention to detail at a price that won’t break the bank.”
The debut collection (since relaunch) numbers some 300 shoes and accessories, and among them are definitely a few crackers.
But how do these shoes differ from anything being offered by the ultra-fast fashion retailers? Price-wise they’re definitely similar, but Dune is keen to stress that its 25 years experience in shoemaking gives it a better understanding of quality and fit, not just the latest trends.
“Our customers want their shoes to express their passion for high fashion, but also demand the quality and assurance of a proper shoe specialist,” says Silsbury.
We first noticed the shoes on Emma Louise Connolly’s feed, and Head Over Heels has since gone on to partner with other super stylish influencers to make noise around the launch.

So I got to thinking… these gold mules ooze Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw shimmying around in season 1. Aka our forever style goals.
